Why are we assuming the conditions on the pick are negative? Could it be that if Boston has the 29th or 30th pick this year, we have the option to defer it?

I'm not overly impressed with the rumored return, however at this point it's just that...rumored.
Also, congrats to Boston for acquiring a solid hockey player, and a whole Canadian city rooting for you in the playoffs!

This happened too way too quickly...folded a flush after the flop without seeing the turn or the river.

If you were to take a step back and look at it from a non-flames-fan perspective you could rationalize a reason for that fairly easily.

Do you have any friends who talk hockey, ever visit another message board?
Very non Flames fans are laughing at the return and rightfully so.

I have no douobt that Iggy will bail out the flames once again and sign the extension. Still inexcusable that ownership and management would let it come to that.

This is on not just Feaster but all of Flames management - no one gets out alive from this one, especially if Murray and King were in on this, which is very likely the case.
I saw Mike Keenan drinking in Kensington on Saturday night with Peter Hanlon. I should have asked them WTF was going on and raised warning flags all week on CP just so we can absorb this better.

Followed Koko fairly close this year. He is an under-sized highly skilled player. Good skater with very good puck skills and good vision. Seems to see the ice really well. I thought he was the best player for the Russians at the WJC.
I do wonder about how he transitions to the pro level. Clearly he is undersized, particularly in weight and strength. He doesn’t shy away from the physical game and he seems to have a good work ethic however if he can’t add strength and mass then I really have concerns about him as a pro. Lastly, not a great 2-way player. Not awful in his own end but he is kind of what you would expect when someone says "skilled Russian"...shifty with the puck and likes to score. Doesn’t necessarily love to play in his own end.
That’s really all I’ve got on him - in general, I like him and I can see the upside.
Still wanted to see another prospect of similar caliber coming back in addition to a 1st.

So disappointed.
Conditional pick..really?
Wondering if they should have just kept him.

I hope everybody in Calgary remembers to be nice to the new guys, whoever they are.
It's not their fault they're not Jarome Iginla.

Meh, Boston had every Canadian city except one rooting for them in the 2011 finals.

ok I can understand getting KoKo, I hope I'm misunderstanding the conditional pick , but what I really can't understand is how we couldnt get one of the other 10 D men that are ahead of this Bartkowski character on the Bruins D prospect rankings.

Him and cowperson's posts have been cringe-worthy tonight. Not really surprised at cowperson anymore, he's become a drive-by specialist recently.

Thanks. You did this Country a massive favour 2 years ago. Can you please just do Calgary one more? I will buy a crate of lobsters or something if you do.
