I remember how I felt when Bourque was traded, and I remember how I felt seeing him lift that cup for Colorado. I always want the Bruins to win it all, but now I want it even more if that makes any of you feel any better. I hope you guys draft someone great and both players end up being awesome for you. I didn't mind the deal until I saw that the first rounder was conditional, that leaves me with an uneasy feeling.
I don't know what other teams were offering but surely a guaranteed first rounder should have been the starting point of any conversation really?
Ugh. This day just totally sucks.

Yeah, we don't know like they know, but until you mentioned that they said that, I've never really seen anyone put Spooner behind Khokhlachev on any of the scouting sites or reports I've seen. Granted it's all just opinion, but it's been pretty heavy one way until TSN went the other way.
I would have preferred Spooner, but I don't really mind that we got Khokhlachev. I was ok with the return until that 1st turned possibly conditional.

Junk. I guess the answer was in the room. Small skilled forwards and 5/6 D...these players make up 80% of our contracts. So disappointed right now.
