That is a better guaranteed return. Sorry Cow and Jiri, you're wrong.

What do you mean? I have not commented on the deal since the conditional thing came out, if true I don't like it.

Just saying.
It's about what you should have expected, including the conditional.

And the media was complaining that the price was way too high? Apparently Feaster was dumb enough to listen.
My good god. I am so angry.

Morrow "seemingly" had more value? Are you fataing high?!???!!!

That's a really good point. Feaster trying to get Smyth was ridiculous. I was worried about RoR's terms and the fact that our 1st would have been gone. Scary times for Flames fans. I'm quite excited to cheer for Iggy.

I hate to say it, but the Flames are not only a doormat in this league. Thanks to their GM, the franchise is now also a joke.
If only Garth Snow were available to run this team . . .

@JonathanWillis: So, uh, a Jarome Iginla rental is worth marginally more than a Douglas Murray rental?

Feaster doesn't know anything about hockey. As a result, he asks King for help, who also doesn't know anything about hockey. They trade Iginla based on a Boston-based fortune cookie they found in the dumpster.
Sounds like a rock solid plan.

Whatever the return ends up being, it was Murray Edwards, just like it has been since 2010 when he bought Harley's 22%, that drove the bus and gave the ok on this deal.
Putting it at feaster's feet is at this point intentionally ignorant.

Mark Spector Sports @SportsnetSpec 39s This deal is NOT done. Wondering if an extension for Iginla is gumming up the works?

What happens if Iginla doesn't re-sign until after the draft? Are we screwed or do we get the 2014 first?

Amazingly, this wasn't even Feaster's most idiotic move of the last two months.
