Or Peter chiarelli is a vastly superior gm to the walking heart attack.

I was defending this deal, but I can't defend a conditional pick. That was the one piece that had to be non-negotiable.

This rumoured return does not seem to be very good.

It's weird. It suggests that the Flames were somehow in a position of weakness rather than the team with a valuable asset. Boston forced them to accept a conditional pick? It's humiliating.
I don't know if I believe it. It's just weird.

Forget Feaster............didn't Ken King have to give this trade his blessing as well? And the other poor Feaster moves? And the poor trades that Sutter made before he moved along?
Ken King needs to be accountable, too.

Is Burke available for GM? God, we need someone like him to fleece other GM's. Why does the Flames always getting fleeced? It's like a Glimore/Phaneuf trade all over. Cripes sakes!

All I ask is that flames mgmt folks with their hands in this never find work in the NHL again.
Flames are walking towards a boycott from this fan for some time now.

Just saying.
It's about what you should have expected, including the conditional.

The rumored deal for Morrow that Boston offered was Khokhlachev + a 2nd round pick.
That is a better guaranteed return. Sorry Cow and Jiri, you're wrong.

Penner had a year on his contract.

apparently they all sat in the room management, brainiac advisors and owners and they all OKayed this trade, mind bottling.
hold onto Iginla for several years while you have sad sack teams on ice that everyone knew they were going nowhere only to finally trade him for essentially another Byron and Butler.
brilliant.
rock solid even

No. I don't buy this. It must be a 1st with a conditional pick on re-signing. Even our trash GM can't be that trash.
Demand 1st and two top prospects, settle for a B prospect, conditional 1st and throwaway.
I just can't believe it, even as pessimistic as I am.

Fans need to understand that teams weren't trading for the dominant Iginla of many years past and who we irrationally clung to even though over the past 3 seasons it was clear that he wasn't a shadow of that player any more. They were trading for the Iginla who was past his prime, with baggage and known as hard to coach. This is why Morrow seemingly had more value.

The point is, if it's being reported that Feaster was taken to the cleaners, nothing of the last three years indicates that will not happen. A conditional first Is an absolute disaster.

They're probably just waiting for Feaster to cave in and throw Gaudreau in.
