It doesn't seem likely that the Calgary Flames management team (Yes, other people help Jay Feaster make decisions) would "Settle for less" right now, there is still plenty of time before the deadline and it's only beneficial to the competing teams to get a player sooner. If there is a deal ready to go right now, they must be happy with it.
I feel quietly optimistic.

Iginla to Boston seems to be about the equivalent of Jokinen to Calgary. Year after year there seemed to be rumours and murmurs about it with proposals out of the wazoo from fans on message boards. Will he finally make his way there like Jokinen?

Going to be making a tribute video soon. I grew up watching this guy dominate and in 04 when we fell short i couldn't believe it. It's a shame he could have never won it wearing our colors. Go get that mug Iggy, you deserve it!

if it happens today, it must be for the price Feaster asked for (two good prospects and a 1st) ... otherwise there's no reason to do this today. He'd wait until closer to the deadline then.
