Is it this?

Caron, Khokhlachev and a first.

A conditional pick if iggy signs would be cool.

I'm not all that excited about either of those prospects.

How do we fit them under the contract limits

simple, Iggy scratched to give the Flames a better chance of losing, or should I say, give the only team below the Flames a better chance of getting some points. They should put Irving in also, and scratch Kipper.

Going to the game tonight. Was planning on seeing Iggys last game as a Flame. Guess I will leave the jersey at home and not dress tonight either

Maybe in the 90's but has Iginla ever been a healthy scratch?

Devastation.

It's the most logical thing this franchise has done in years. Just because you sit him doesn't mean you have to trade him.

Mr. Chiarelli, don't call Feaster's bluff, he's serious about keeping Iginla if the deal isn't right. If you want Iginla, pay up!

That's my read on him. Oil are trying to turn him into a 3rd line guy and with some success. He has the speed to be effective in that role. As moon pointed out, whether he has the brain for it is another question but he does appear to be doing well.

He's alright. Not high high end upside skill like Tarasenko, but solid. The player I'd compare him to most in the Flames organization is Backlund give or take (I'm not overly familiar, just going off of my memories when I was scouting for the CPHL draft)

My heart sank...

I give credit to Iginla, he deflected comments and was a true professional through the process. But this has been like a bad breakup that everybody saw coming, and we're all holding on to the string that Iginla has on our hearts.

I sincerely hope he wins the cup wherever he goes. I will cheer for him every step of the way.

Wow..Seems like just yesterday I watched him score his first goal at the dome against the Hawks..And now he's going to be gone..It hurts a bit but I wish him all the luck in the world and he deserves the opportunity to chase lord stanley..I love ya Jarome all the best to you.

If we are trading Iginla now, I just hope we aren't missing out on value by not waiting for the deadline.

Even as a lifelong calgarian, i was a boston fan until my twenties. Time to dust off the gold and black.

I would counter that if he goes now then it's probably a result of a team paying up for him instead. Boston not wanting to get scooped by the Hawks.
