There are mods that can force your game to achieve cheetah (and beyond) speeds although the electricity/water/sewage agents can't keep up so your city ends up going into the dark ages.
I put adjacent to downtown, ran out of space lol. I was under the assumption that when your workers were educated, it couldnt meltdown
In retrospect...it was a terrible idea, it messed up empire state and my arena.....and another really expensive building.....and my high profit areas

So I bought the game ($39.99 special on Amazon US, and the free game). I also bought a PC to play the game...just for this, no other reason. I'm such a sucker.
In lieu of wading through the thread...was there consensus on upper-middle of the road graphics cards?
Played for 6 or so hours yesterday. Love it so far. I guess that's the bonus of getting in after all the hoopla.

I haven't played in a week. I think i'm pretty much done with the game. Biggest bust ever. I'll probably play here and there, but man, this was a disaster by all accounts.
Once they expand the city size, that will give me reason to come back to the game. But by all accounts, this is an unfinished game and botched in every way possible. It's fun to play for the first 2 hours of a city. After that it's boring as hell because you can't expand anymore.
And people being able to buy the game for $40 now when I paid $60 for it 3 weeks ago is typical. All I can do is laugh.
