Lots of skill in this line up, just no size, toughness or defensive ability to go along with it.
A lot of these players would do really well on teams that have those things in their line up IMO.

It wasn't Sutters fault, but he didn't help. Same could be said for Hartley. Both just meh. The huge difference in home and away records screams line match ups and lack of team preparation to me.
Darryl Sutter was the best coach, too bad we didn't have him as the coach and a competent Gm for the last 10 years.

Do people really want Feaster to be the GM to blow this up? Fire Feaster and hire a decent GM then go from there.

Sorry. That is an excuse. Teams with crappy rosters make the playoffs every year (2004 Flames).
It's all about heart and lack of professionalism.
A city of heard workers deserves a better team.

Based on his alleged "wish list", I've become increasingly more receptive of the image of Iggy in a Bruins, Pens, or Kings jersey.
The thought of him in a Nucks jersey makes me sick.
While I'm still officially cheering for them to win games, losses do not upset me anymore because management will be more willing to move assets when they finally come to terms with the hopelessness of the situation.
My two cents.

Feasted scares the bejesus out of me. I'd much rather Burke for a rebuild.

They sent Baertschi down because Hartley did not want him to be intimidated and his confidence ruined.
The Flames are just so small and weak..... and skilled.

What exactly do you think my point was that made you feel compelled to argue with me?
I wasn't defending (or making excuses for) this team in any way, shape or form.

Remember how awesome this team looked even in defeat in the first few games. That was Hartley's system, this mess isn't his fault. The team is playing like crap, end of story. If they were playing games like those early ones, these losses wouldn't even bug me.
That said, anyone surprised at this by now, is either blind or ignorant.

I am praying that people aren't so myopic that they cannot see how bad this team is... Especially management.
The only hope this team has is getting some assets for guys like Iggy, while the getting is good

And while we all hoped that outcome would have been this team going on a magical run, I more likely would have been once again coming up just short with nothing to show for it. That's the last thing this team needs.
So while not happy they didn't win, I certainly am relieved. Not because I dot like this team, but because I hope once and for all we can accept they the team he way I is just isn't going to win and it's time to move on.
It's time.

It's nice that the Flames are finally showing their true colours before the trade deadline. I can relax now and be sure that Feaster will make the moves we need to be competitive moving forward. Honestly it doesn't phase me that we lost tonight.

When you have 2 dmen in bouw and Gio a young guy in Brodie a MAB lookalike in wideman and two pieces of crap it is pretty bad though. Couple that with a forward group that has the defensive presence of a beer league team and it is not surprising.

I'm not much of a Burke fan but I would DEFINITELY chose Burke over Feaster for a rebuild.

Well if you are going to blow it up, you blow it up at the trade deadline to get the best value for pending free agents etc.
Too late to get another GM so if blow it up is in play it will be Feaster executing it.

Defending has little to do with ability.
