Here's a weird coincidence. Four of the six division leaders as of right now had 4 of the 5 top-5 picks in the lottery draft in 2005.
Pittsburgh - Crosby
Anaheim - Ryan
Montreal - Price
Minnesota - Pouliot
Weirder - all 5 of the top 5 picks were represented by division leaders prior to Winnipeg taking over the SE from Carolina (Jack Johnson) in yesterday's action.
The sixth division leader (Chicago) picked 7th (Skille).

While Iginla was never at Crosby's level (who is?), the team really misses him as a regular difference-maker - someone who scores more often than not and consistently drives the play.
They were just talking about coach's challenges on NBC - specifically that it will be a topic of conversation at the next league meetings and that it is gaining some momentum.
I'd love to see any of our players go to successful teams providing we could get back good prospects and picks. Heck, I'd love to get a few players from teams that aren't doing that well right now. I hope something happens in one of these games to start the trades soon!

I'm not sure where else to put this... Kipper will not be traveling to Dallas with the team so that he can be present for the birth of his second child.
Danny Taylor has been recalled from the AHL.
