Icon48 March 17, ultra hangover Sunday edition

Bruins and Pens just finished the first period in their game. Crosby with another goal, penguins up 2-1.

Winnipeg and Ottawa play later this afternoon and it's buffalo/Washington and oilers/preds later tonight.

Great game in Pitt - Crosby is just ridiculous.

A reg win by the Oilers would be good for both sets of Flames fans: a Nash loss helps our playoff push and an Oiler win helps our MacKinnon push.

Columbus 6-0-4 in their last 10 for anyone that hasn't noticed

Wpg - Ott should be interesting.

And somebody has to win in the Buf-Wash showdown

NBC has the best hockey theme. It's actually feels modern and fitting for a fast action sport like hockey.

Here's a weird coincidence. Four of the six division leaders as of right now had 4 of the 5 top-5 picks in the lottery draft in 2005.

Pittsburgh - Crosby
Anaheim - Ryan
Montreal - Price
Minnesota - Pouliot

Weirder - all 5 of the top 5 picks were represented by division leaders prior to Winnipeg taking over the SE from Carolina (Jack Johnson) in yesterday's action.

The sixth division leader (Chicago) picked 7th (Skille).

I like that it sounds like the old nba intro, the best television sports theme of all time.

That has been my ringtone for a few years and I am never changing it

I wonder how many flames scouts are at that game today with both Pitt and Boston rumoured to be in on Iggy

What did you drink to cause the ultra hangover?

While Iginla was never at Crosby's level (who is?), the team really misses him as a regular difference-maker - someone who scores more often than not and consistently drives the play.

Wow the Refs actually got that one right, the glove barely touched the puck but they caught it.

I'd love to see Iggy winging Crosby, that would be awesome. (Other than Olympics)

They were just talking about coach's challenges on NBC - specifically that it will be a topic of conversation at the next league meetings and that it is gaining some momentum.

I would be very much in favour of that.

Yes it would. And Iginla deserves to have an opportunity like that.

I'd love to see any of our players go to successful teams providing we could get back good prospects and picks. Heck, I'd love to get a few players from teams that aren't doing that well right now. I hope something happens in one of these games to start the trades soon!

Apparently Letang injured from this slash in the first: https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-i...tanginjury.gif

Hasn't come back in be the game since, huge loss for Pittsburgh if he's gone for
a while.

I doubt it, why would they watch this boring hockey when they have Flames games to watch?!

I'm not sure where else to put this... Kipper will not be traveling to Dallas with the team so that he can be present for the birth of his second child.

Danny Taylor has been recalled from the AHL.

Randy Sportak ‏@SUNRandySportak
#flames Miikka kiprusoff not going to Dallas. Going to be a father again. Danny Taylor called up from Abbotsford.

I just said to my wife, it's like the pens and bruins play a different sport.

Krejci takes a rocket from Boychuk off inside of knee. Helped off with no weight on his right leg. Kelly a C already out.
