So my first solo city has a sewage problem. Literally the entire west side of my town is covered in filth. I don't know what to do.

Garbage is also becoming a problem.

Well, aside from the fact that there are people who have no desire to play online, but can't log in because of full servers or are getting constantly disconnected...

Not saying Metacritic is perfect, but it does highlight some problems, ones that glowing press reviews don't seem to want to touch.

Lots of achievements (challenges) and mini-missions that unlock tiers of buildings or reward you with various things (such as money).

So I loaded it up and it puts me into a tutorial called "Summer Schoals" except everything is greyed out, there are zero instructions and even when I quit to menu it just puts me right back to this tutorial with no other options in the main screen. What...the...f...

Probably covered already, but I had some questions:
1) Is there still the option of playing "SimCity classic"? That is, you are isolated from the rest of the world?
2) Is there any way to prevent real time?
3) Can you slow down the play speed? I almost always play games at 1/2 to 1/4 their real time speed to plan things out.

You have to play the tutorial first, it shouldn't just all be grayed out it should be telling you to do things though.

1) Play 'Sandbox Mode'. It's basically isolated.

2) I believe Sandbox Mode doesn't run realtime, but I haven't played it to confirm

3) Yes, click the little >>> arrows in the lower left of the command bar. They change the game speed.
