I love how I mention the whipping boy, and everyone piles on me like cats ready to pounce at the first opportunity to get a pot shot in. Hard at work again, boys! Wouldn't be CP without it!

Foiled by the ninja edit! I actually took that part out for that very reason.

Just like the Flames the Heat need some physicality, could be a very good pick up. Wahl was not going anywhere with this organization. He lost his nerve and would not engage anyone, always pulled up when contact was coming his way.

The traded players were nowhere near any of those games.

Explain to me how scouts at an NHL game leads to the exchange of two AHL/ECHL players?

One does not lead to, nor impact, the other.

Something is better than nothing. Thought he would walk at years end after we did not qualify him.

Good on you Feaster, now find a taker for Howse/Nemisz and we can turn the page on the last two Sutter draft busts.

I am amazed that someone actually found something to cry about in the swap of a ECHL 1st liner for a AHL bottom 6 players

Good for Mitch. Getting away from Ward is the best thing for him. A fresh start will be good....would probably be good for some other Heat players as well.....!

Philly has grit - we need grit

Philly needs defence - we have defence

Sestito was sent down for condtioning, leaving Shelley and Rinaldo as toughness up front. Think we are more interested in Rinaldo than Shelley. Butler for Rinaldo anyone?

No kidding. Nemisz is going nowhere near an NHL rink again.

it is an elaborate ploy to keep eklund out of the loop. The players are just mules secretly carrying the real proposal within...gming 101

With everybody pretending to be friends after that last minute comeback, something has to give.

Howse too? I thought we still had a collective hard-on for this guy?

Nemisz was a bad pick from day one. Turrible.

Howse needs a lot of work on his defensive game which means he won't play much in Abbotsford. You can cross off pretty well every forward in Abbotsford off the list of future Flames except possibly Max Reinhart who despite not excelling under Ward's system which is designed to thwart offense he's managed to stay out of Ward's doghouse to date but once you get in it's curtains.

It's probably not going to hold much weight with you Erick, but straight out of his mouth, he doesn't limit offensive creativity (start watching at 2:00):

There isnt a single pro hockey coach alive who "designs" a system to "thwart offense".

The mere suggestion is beyond assinine and the fact you actually believe it is hilarious and speaks volumes.
