Journeyman was the big one for me. First time in a long time that I would get pumped to watch a network TV show. NBC hasn't even released it on DVD. Helps that Kevin McKidd is a decent actor.
Flash Forward was another one. The first season kind of clunked along, but it started to pick up towards the end. I could've lived with it ending prematurely if they hadn't completely butchered the finale.
Mine have pretty much already been said (AD, Deadwood, Clone High, Undergrads).
I'm glad other people are realizing the glory of Clone High, for only 8 episodes man was that show funny. It's especially good re-watching them now, as unlike back then, I now actually recognize Will Forte's voice.

13 episodes on the DVD set! Only 8 aired in the US, and the DVD set is only available in Canada :<
I loved that show too and was so disappointed when it wasn't picked up again. I found it did kind of change part way through to a more linear storytelling which took away from the uniqueness of it.
Also 'Wonderfalls' was interesting and only aired like 5 episodes before Fox yanked it. Then some religious network (I think) showed all the episodes a couple of years later. I was able to watch them all then and I'm pretty sure it needed at least one more season to be able to tell the story they were trying to.
Rubicon too. So many promising shows get stomped out while 'Two and Half Men' will be renewed in perpetuity.

Reason: Guy above me reminded me of Chicago Code
Ringer with Sarah Michelle Gellar from last year . It was so terrible but I couldn't stop watching it.

A vastly under-rated reality show was LOST. It was basically a simplified version of Amazing Race – where teams were dropped off in the middle of a country (Mongolia in this case). They didn’t know even what nation they were in though – they winning team was whoever got back to NYC first. Period. That’s it. They were given a bit of money, some clothes and one cameraman.
It was fantastic – teams basically tried to make their way around the world with having zero resources. I recall one team ended up calling in to the producers to quit after making it to Russia where they stalled out having no money, food or accommodation.
It was brutal and awesome TV.
The Following User Says Thank You to JiriHrdina For This Useful Post:
No. That was Conan at his unfunniest ever. NBC really limited the type of humour on that show. He was always great at silly and unscripted comedy. The Tonight Show is as bland and scripted as it gets. He hasn't been the same since and is only moderately funnier on TBS.
Give me the days of Late Night with Conan O'Brien.
Watch, Jimmy Fallon is great in that slot right now because there are no restrictions. Put him on an hour earlier and he'll almost definitely suck.

Watched the first season....really wasn't impressed with it.
Far too strange with no real direction to the plot. May have been building to a more interesting story, but I never saw a glimpse of what it was supposed to be.

This list could be a whole host of British shows since they generally keep them to a few seasons...even the excellent ones.
The Office (Gervais)
Extras
Fawlty Towers
Blackadder
The I.T. Crowd (not sure if it's in hiatus or if it's done)
And a little spy drama from the 70s/80s that was possibly one of the best written, acted, and produced shows with next to no budget. Amazing that they can make a one room drama out of international espionage during the cold war. Ladies and Gents, I give you...
The Sandbaggers
