Okay...

Hudler-Tanguay-Cervenka
Cammalleri-Stajan-Stempniak
Glencross-Comeau-Iginla
Begin-Horak-Jackman

Maybe Comeau is simply filling in until the new acquisition(s) arrive(s).... hopefully.

Feaster has told stories in the past about how he was so let down by a player he refused to let them dress another game for the team. It was a European player who had a nervous breakdown or something. My guess is something like that happened or there's a trade coming, or Feaster doesn't understand you need centers in hockey.

Seriously? This guy is a heart and soul guy. Feb 9 of last years, Jones suffered a broken ankle after blocking Shane Doan's shot in OT. Even with the pain, he got back up and continued to block shots. Personally to me that's true character.

Comeau at center? At least put Horak at center with Iggy.

I don't think he's been sent down, just waived. So Jones could conceivably still be a Flame in 24 hours.

If Horak isn't on the top 3 lines, then he is being wasted IMO. He's a skilled player, not a grinder. Id rather him get more time in Abbotsford if this is what management is thinking of doing with him.

Glencross-Horak-Iginla
Comeau-Begin-Jackman

I hate the 4th line.

This team is becoming the joke of the league, Comeau being our big fat punch line. Better waive our only big centerman and ice the worst player in the league.

I caught flames practice on Thursday, and while everyone was doing shootout and skills, Blair Jones was off to the side with the coaches talking. Seemed like a pretty heated argument at some points, with Gelinas staying afterwards to talk for longer.

Not sure how relevant it is, could be a coincidence, but it's odd that this happens two days after that argument and the day after a tough loss.

Maybe Feaster got a call from the Canucks last night after that awesome sell job of a dive last night by Jones. He will fit in perfect with the dive club they have in Vancouver.

Something like this would make the most sense for me. Attitude issue, or doesn't see eye to eye with the coaches.

Yep. Pushing Comeau up as a fill in until O'Reilly arrives

Agree Comeau should be gone regardless

Begin would very likely clear waivers, even if he played in the AHL his contract would count as part of the 50 contract limit which the Flames currently have 49 of now that Taylor was signed and MacDonald was claimed.

Jones seem to have the most likely chance of being claimed out of the depth forwards. So I'd say they are looking to clear a contract, maybe not for any immediate move but I believe Feaster has talked about having contract room to give him some options throughout the season.

Still think the whole move is odd if there isn't something else just given the center situation and the Flames lack of grit.

It's not like they couldn't shift Begin to either wing and waive Comeau or Jackman.

I don't know how Comeau keeps getting by. He must have some dirt on somebody.

Is it perhaps possible that Comeau isn't waived because there's no chance he gets picked up.....

I remember a handful of posters absolutely tearing him apart for not getting back into the play, and then after realizing that he may not be faking, for not getting off the ice...when the guy could barely crawl let alone skate.
