Great to see Cammi get it going again. I feel like Iginla is going to be more effective with a little less ice time, he can still lead but doesn't have to be the go to guy all the time. Hopefully this offense can keep it up.
Me and my brothers went early to watch Jagr warmup, we get into the section and we see jagr with the biggest grin! We look over and see these fans chanting jagr wearing every jagr jersey. Jagr left the warm up early but not without giving them a wave. One of the coolest things I've ever seen at a warmup.
I'd like to know how TSN knew the crew was from Hardisty
The resurgence of Matt Stajan and Jay Bouwmeester is a huge key to the team this season.
Hartley has used these two to their strengths turning them into two key contributors, instead of the two biggest scape goats on this team.
Honestly the biggest strike for B.Sutter when he is interviewing for his next job will be why certain players seemed to struggle so much under his watch.
Watching how these guys have rebounded makes me hate Sutter even more. I know it's still early in the season, but all the talk about how the Flames lacked talent, how they looked old and lifeless all the time, about how they never brought forth an effort, well the blame can be solidly placed on Sutter's shoulders. This team has got mad skillz, and Sutter really put a lid on all that.
Just look at how Hartley praises Iggy compared to Sutter. Sutter was always saying how some players weren't buying into his system, and he wouldn't name names, but he knew exactly what the problem was. Hartley comes out and says sure Iggy's not scoring as much, but praises him for still being our emotional leader. Everytime I saw a player come back on the bench, Hartley walked over and gave them a pat on the back. Rarely saw Sutter do that, if ever.
This Flames team in so much better then their record shows. Sutter was absolutely the wrong coach for this team, and it RGMG that 3 years were wasted with him behind the bench.

you know that last years team wasn't all that skill full and that's why there were 14 players turned over from last years team.
This team has been built for Hartley like the previous teams were built for Sutter.
Last years team was neither fast enough or skilled enough to play this game.
However you can argue that Bou and Backlund suffered under coach Sutter

What would a PGT thread after a big win to get the Flames all the way to .500 after 11 games, 7 of which have been at home, be without a barrage of "Brent Sutter is the spawn of Satan, god do I hate him so much".

Those guys were pretty hilarious. I was doing the 50/50 thing again and they were adding some entertainment to my evening. Watched a lot of the game last night at the 50/50 thing wasn't anything like the first night and hey it was entertaining as well.
Goals galore and some very nice ones at that. Irving scares me though and the defense was hmmm.

Or a PGT thread where the Flames played exciting goal scoring hockey without EddyBeers defending Sutter...

If you watch the highlights on TSN they show Jagr with a huge smile during warmups. I have to assume it was response to the Jagr posse up in the stands -- well done whoever you are!

they got recognition from TSN and NHL Network (and apparently in the Czech Republic) - and deservedly so.
0.895 is not "pretty solid", it's pretty bad. That's roughly 17% more goals let in than average.
The Vancouver game where the team in front of him was absolutely brutal skews that stat.
Irving is a rookie who has been thrown under into the fire due to the Kipper injury. The only stat the matters for Irving right now is wins. In 4 and 1/2 games the team has gotten 3 wins. The 2 games that they lost the team as a whole was pretty awful, and those loses were not the fault of poor play by Irving.
Yes he had a bad game. But like I said he is young and bad games happen. Outside of that Irving has been very solid for this team.
But if you would like you can continue nitpicking a 24 year old rookie.
