The same reason you seemed overly concerned about what I think?
I answered this already.
It's annoying to come to post game threads to see the same people spamming the same tired crap about the team sucking and I find it puzzling that people enjoy spending their time dwelling on something that causes them nothing but frustration and disappointment.
I'll leave it at that.

Well the injuries seem like a very small difference to be dwelling on as well, it is not like the Flames are the only team to experience injuries and it is not like the team has performed noticeably worse without those guys in the lineup.

But we don't have a Burrows or Grabovski on our team.

Why do you care then how the fans feel?
I have not heard anyone after this loss call it a great team. Some people look for positives and hope it gets better. Some people like to point out the flaws and how things are virtually impossible.
Neither side is right, but how much fun is it to live in that cloud? Sports is entertainment, not politics.

Having Kipper, Cammalerri, Backlund and Sven in the lineup vs. not having them in the lineup seems like a big difference to me. Not a little one.
Just my opinion.

? That's very debatable IMO. We held play for considerable lengths of time in almost every game save the last two.

Minnesota is awful to watch, at least during road games. They hardly try to accomplish anything offensive whatsoever. Calgary wasn't much better. It looked like two teams who just didn't want to lose.
Irving played pretty well, but he's too excitable or something. No need to dive out at that guy on the goal against. The shootout moves were good, but he bites so hard. Give Macdonald a chance, maybe the team will play better in front of him.
I thought this was Cervenka's best game as a Flame. Honestly, after the Vancouver game I was beginning to think that he just didn't have NHL speed or compete level. That remains to be seen over the long term but I thought he was good tonight.
If Iginla can't play at a higher level than this consistently, then I'm basically on board with getting him to a team where he can be a great support player and I'm not sure how different the results would be.
On the other hand, I think that with the composition of the team (3 second lines), missing Cammalleri, Baertschi, and Backlund prevents the team from playing the only kind of game that gives them a chance to win. Street doesn't provide anything close to the game Backlund does and I don't understand the appeal of the guy.
On a more positive note, I thought that Bouwmeester, Wideman, and Brodie played very well today and I agree with Rob Kerr that we seem to be watching the emergence of an important player for the franchise.
With all of our streaky players, I am at least looking forward to a surge when a bunch of them catch fire at once. I'm certainly getting tired of watching one or two guys looking good per game.
Go Flames Go!

But if you're that unhappy, why not log out and find another hobby?
Those of you who think this team sucks and do nothing but come here to bang that drum really seem like you're wasting a lot of your own time being so invested in all of this.

I don't understand why it has to be love this team unconditionally and make up excuses for their continuing incompetence or get the f out?
It is possible to be a huge fan of the team and not like the way they are playing, not like the direction the team is taking and being frustrated by seeing the same things happening over and over again and somehow expecting different results.

Completely agree with this, I have no idea how stating what the numbers, literally the facts about what record the Flames need to achieve to make the playoffs is negative. Mind boggling, disagreeing with Backlund being a top six forward is endlessly negative, any sort of questioning is endlessly negative. Even when you say that 5 out of 8 points is a positive that is somehow endlessly negative, it is tough to win sometimes.

Wasn't a big difference when the team was losing early on in the season.

Not having your rose colored glasses on now equals spamming?
People posting their opinions on what happened in the game is what makes the message board work, the fact that there are all sorts of opinions on here is what makes it a more interesting board.
And it is always amazing how you can not only know what other people think and feel but then tell them when they tell you that it isn't true at all.

I don't think anyone thinks it's going to be easy. Everyone agrees making 8th is going to be a dog fight to the finish.

There's a difference between being constructive with criticism and simply shooting the team down at every given chance and returning to gloat about it in post game threads. I never said the team doesn't deserve criticism.

So the first five games of the season where many of the players hadn't played together before is the measuring stick for the rest of the season... to the point where those players I mentioned aren't going to make a difference?
Give it a rest Moon.
