Brodie and Wideman are the only two defenceman that can actually make a play out of our zone. The others are on there heels their entire shift. Brodie and Wideman will be our top pairing before this month is over

I don't even think it matters who we have in the net. The Flames are giving up way way to much time in their zone to the Canucks. Schneider hasn't been nearly as busy. This is on the Top 6. The D wouldnt have to track the puck so much if the Flames could get some sort of pressure in the Canucks zone. We dont need to worry about defence if we could actually get into their zone.

He has always looked that way! bobbling away. Course he had 2 spectacular saves in that 2nd period. No idea how he played in the first. I didn't watch it.

If Comeau could keep a hold of his effing stick on the first goal maybe we wouldn't be down 3-1 right now.
One thing I've been impressed about him tonight is he's been looking extremely confident. Actually too confident on the second goal, he was convinced he had it and it trickled in behind him.

He's been challenging the shooters, not being scared to flash the leather, and he's been positionally sound all night. I'm really not seeing the same goalie you are tonight.

Irving is the only reason this game isn't 7-1.

i'm gald someone else sees that. Its so frustrating the refs just allow them to do that, just because its how VAN plays. I have AV for bringing that s### to the NHL.

The people blaming Irving for the score tonight need to stop watching hockey.

Not sure I buy that.. they're even personable when playing poker on tv!

Hartnell would be an entertaining guy on tv when he retires.

I hope this provides a reality check to some of the Flames knob gobblers a little bit.
Not only that, we dont' have any great penalty killers. or defensive guys who need in the dying minutes of a game to protect a lead.

i wish they dressed Sarich as a forward and just tell him to go out there and hit anything blue.

I agree. Considering his age, I'd expect more from his development. I don't think there's any thing in his performance that would indicate he could possibly be a franchise goalie. Freddie Braithwaite looked way better than this unfortunately.

It's not hard to tell that Irving is really jittery tonight. He doesn't look confident at all, bobbling and constantly unaware where the pick is after saves. But it hasn't cost him yet tonight and he's finding ways to get his body on pucks and make some really big saves.

Iginla isn't that player anymore, nor should it be expected. He is not a power forward at this stage, he is a sniper. Unfortunately, he hasn't finished any of his opportunities this season yet.

This isn't a physical team, it isn't built to play that way.

Flames fans have complained that losing is bad enough, but no offense is worse. Well the flames are scoring more, so at least most losses this season have been watchable.

It's hard to save it when you have Jay Holmstromeester screening you.
