Thread or the year nominees IMO:

Tipping a server thread:
http://forum.calgarypuck.com/showthr...tipping+server

Previously Banned posters thread (A shame that it got closed):
http://forum.calgarypuck.com/showthread.php?t=119769

Jamoro's hell froze over thread:

Funny and Cool picture/video thread:

You know what really Grinds my gears thread:
http://forum.calgarypuck.com/showthread.php?t=90831
Funny Picture thread was started in 2009 and Grind my Grear was 2010 so I think those are out. Either way I think Tipping a server is the thread of the year early nom... the way it twisted and brought an internet legend to Calgarypuck in full force was great.

Thanks. My secret is to be a sarcastic, ***hole to dumbasses and recycle MrMastadonFarm's old jokes. Winning formula.

We need to hold some sort of smackoff to determine who deserves the poster of the year award. Each person nominated should create one epic post and then we vote from those posts to determine who really is the best.

Although my votes would go to MMF, CaptainCrunch, and Textcritic.

MrMastadonFarm, DisplacedFlamesFan, misterpants and Russic are posters I always make sure to read

Joborule deserves a lot of credit for his updates in the EA sports game threads, solid posting, and great taste in sports teams

Cowperson and Bingo for being the voice of reason.

MrMastadonFarm, Jammies, and CaptainCrunch for constantly making me laugh while making a point.

Fotze for being a hilarious dirty ****

PMM for all the work he has done keeping us up to date with the Heat during this lockout.

MissTeeks, Sureloss, and Dion for the all the work keeping us up to date on the CBA negotiations.

DisplacedFlamesFan, Photon, HPLovecraft, Textcritic, JiriHrdina, CaramonLS, Locke, Thor, and Daradon are all top notch posters who add a lot to this forum.

Thanks and the feeling is definitely mutual. Sometimes we even agree, but when we don't it civil and (mostly) on topic. It is funny that we disagree as much as we do through; we've both been members of the same political party in the past, both cheer for the Flames and both might even be Legion members. Its funny that we don't have more shared viewpoints really.

I figure you and I would have a beer and argue about things and then basically agree to disagree and move along to the next argument. You don't seem like a guy who takes these things personally, and I know I'm not...which is probably why we like to discuss these issues with each other.

He disappeared midway through the year, but the one guy who would get me to click on any thread even if the topic didn't interest me in the slightest was CrazyBaconLegs. He had some misfires, but most of his posts were hilarious. I still chuckle thinking about springs1 giving a serious response when he asked for recommendations of more restaurants like Platypus XTreme.

Puckluck/Iginla can be annoying and an attention whore, but I give him the award for most underrated poster. He started the GMG thread a few years ago and started the detective work in the returning posters thread in the 3rd post in such a subtle way that no one even noticed (check the name of the poster he quoted). When he's bad, he's really bad, but I don't think he gets the credit he deserves when he's good.

Who else is in here hoping their name gets mentioned?

I like Cowperson's posts, and am pretty envious of wherever he lives in order to take those magnificent photos.

This thread would be remiss without a mention of my favourite media person who fraternizes around here, Roger Millions. Always enjoy seeing him pop up in a discussion and add his take.

(Mango is also awesome.)

See, the problem is that 2 good posts out of 1000 is not a positive example to set and it shouldn't be encouraged. I'm not even trying to rag on the guy. I just believe he's better than posts he gives.
