I'm more of a daily lurker and don't contribute anything substantial but I find myself usually enjoying posts from MrMastodonFarm, flameswin & Textcritic. So, there ya go.

I want to nominate Slava, We might butt heads on occasion, and we don't agree most of the time, but I respect his passion and his ability to debate.

MissTeeks: She posts so much great info from Twitter on CBA issues and more. No reason to even go on Twitter for CBA info, I just go on the CBA News thread for what I need because MissTeeks has it.

SureLoss: While he/she breaks most news on CP before anyone else during the regular season, he/she's been doing an excellent job without regular non-CBA related NHL news.

Textcritic: He's a scholar of religion, so he provides thought provoking, excellent post on not only religious matters, but political and social matters as well.

Freeway: Posts excellent stats and info on Flames and non-Flames prospects. Provides great articles that gives insight that few other posters can.

Are extra points awarded if the poster goes all drama queen, complains that calgarypuck doesn't "feel like a family" or some rot like that and declares that they are leaving for a year only to return to active posting in two months?

Flameswin, the Senator, Cowperson and Dion have all been very kind and helpful to me, and I appreciate that, so they'd get my nomination, as a noob.

Ten years ago, there were awards given out in various categories at Calgarypuck.

The Craig Conroy Award for Poster Of The Year

The Doug Risebrough Slashing Marty McSorleys Sweater Viscous ####### Award for the poster most likely to launch a personal attack at the drop of a hat.

The Rain Man Award to the poster who seems to know something but no one else is sure what it might be.

The Rod Serling Twight Zone Award to the poster most likely to blame the deficiencies of a Flames player on management, teammates, coaches or anything other than the player.

The Put A Bag On My Head Award for the Flames fan most ashamed to be associated with the team.

The Vesa Vitikoski Fearless Female Award to the best poster from the fairer sex.

The Haken Loob Award to the best foreign poster.

The Scott Nichol Award to the poster most likely to stick his nose into an argument they have no chance of winning.

The Jim Peplinski Award to the poster most likely to deliver a funny quip when it's needed.

The Roger Neilsen Award to the best poster from an enemy team.

The Flames Homer Award goes to the poster most likely to support the Flames in spite of all evidence to the contrary.

You're welcome.

Cowperson

Agreed, you'll need several categories for the awards

I'd like to also add the categories:

Poll of the year

Thread of the year

Post of the year

...and i'd like to add WhiteTiger as a poster of the year with his consistent submissions to the Hot girls thread
