Our daughter received one of these for Xmas from a generous family member.

The old-man cynic in me is scared we're going to raise some spoiled little yuppie brat with all this fancy baby stuff.....while the other part of me is kind of jealous that I didn't have a sweet high-tech spaceship when growing up.

My daughter completely rejected her bassinet, and slept in her swing until she was 4 months. It was the only place she'd sleep. D cell batteries are expensive, so you best be heading to walmart to buy a giant pack of them right away. As soon as she's addicted to the movement, you're going to be going to macs in the middle of the night for $20 batteries unless you keep them on hand.

I got a $250 futureshop gift card from my staff (best employees ever). I was thinking I would get a new router to make my ps3 gaming faster (don't know if it would help, I'm a tech noob).

What should I buy? And if I buy it, can I brag to you that I have it?

Some ideas:

-HDMI switch for my projector (too much signal loss might make this a poor option)
-network camera for my wife to spy on our 5mo in hood crib when she is wondering why he is/isn't sleeping
-harmony remote for upstairs (only a cable box and baby's dad's played on it)
-pay part of the price of an iPad for the misses

Any other ideas?

I got the Harmony 650 for Christmas. Setup was super easy for the 4 devices I'm running (3d tv, 3d bluray, sound bar, satellite box.) Would recommend.

As for the other gifts:
USB turntable w/ a couple of records
Baertschi 3rd jersey
Pair of Toms
Assorted tools
Gift cards/cash

Why would you be apprehensive? I got a #93 last year and it turned out just...

Oh. Nevermind.

Do you have anything but one liner, dribble to add to Calgarypuck? Seriously, it seems all you do is go into every thread and make a snarky, pointless post and then never return.

If I was fancy enough to ever wear cufflinks, I'd be wearing these like a BOSS.

Yep! Asked for Heat jersey, but they're tricky to get. She'll go great with my #60 Backlund.

So these are actually sprung and move after you wind them? If so, that's awesome.

My wife got me some watch cufflinks a few years ago, but they don't really do anything.
