Is there any other way to take the PAL? I don't feel like giving up two days to sit in a class. Can I pay extra somewhere for a private lesson that's done in like four hours?
The crossbow wouldn't be that great in a gunfight, but I'd be better armed than 90% of my neighbours with it, I'm pretty sure. A gun is way better, though, if I want to get serious about this.

I'm fairly sure that you don't have to take the class. You can just challenge the exam if you want. Just get the book, study for a few hours, and challenge the exam. Unless you don't know anything about guns, in which case, the class is a good idea.

Yes you can challenge the exam. To be honest, the only thing I took away from the course was SAFE and PROVE. After we got our licences my brother and I went to the range and rented two handguns and realized we still didn't really know what we were doing. I learned far more when I bought my first couple of guns, but that's to be expected. The course we took at The Shooting Edge was only a 1 day class with the exam at the end so it's not that big of a time commitment.

Most instructors will not run both the restricted and unrestricted in the same day, i took it in my conservation enforcement course at college years ago so it may have changed...
Also, the Sarcee Fish and Game and High River Fish and Game run one day courses for unrestricted.

Yes, I got mine @ Proline Shooters in Inglewood, it was jammed into a 1 day session.
Roughly about 12 hours. But worth it. It was both.

The Mayan December 21, 2012 was August 3, 2011 because they had no leap year or something like that. The only thing that could happen is the governments of the world start a war or some kind of false flag. If aliens come from the sky it's probably not really aliens.
