Remember that Michonne said that there were no real military guys at Woodbury, add the smoke, the fear, etc... and you can see why all the bullets were flying and no one was getting hit.

Also, getting a little technical but considering everyone was spraying on full auto, it's not suprising that no one was hit. Although, by that same thought, it's also suprising no innocent people would have been hit. Still doesn't account for how the woodbury crew gets the jump on trained army guys.
In the preview for the next episode there is a quick clip of Glenn yelling outstide the prison "...what is he doing here?!?" I could only guess that sort of reaction from Glenn would only be for someone like Merle, meaning Daryl and Merle probably got out. Plus the scenes of the governor in a smoky arena.

So ambushing and shooting at the army guys on a clear day, while they are not moving is the exact same as being ambushed and shooting at moving targets through thick smoke?

Not exactly, but you'd think it wouldn't be from sniper to stormtrooper between the two examples as many have suggested.
I dunno, for building up the attack on Woodbury it didn't really hold up well. That's all.

I wouldn't call it an attack on Woodbury since it was never the groups intention to start a blood bath, they wanted to get Glen and Maggie as quiet as possible.
If you want to see an attack wait for the attack coming on the prison.

Yup. I expect half of the main group will be culled, and I wouldn't be surprised to see Herschel, Carol, Glenn, Maggie, Merle and everyone in Tyrese's group (except Tyrese) get waxed. Here's hoping Andrea as well.
I expect season four will start with Rick, Carl, Darryl, Tyrese, Michonne and that blonde daughter of Herschel in escaping the prison fight.
EDIT: Oh yeah, Gold Rush Mustache man will be picked off as well, but not before he tries to assault Carol or blonde girl.

FYI, Darryl is the least likely to die this season because he's the main character in the upcoming Walking Dead video game.

Hmmm, I dunno if I see Glenn dying. But I could see Maggie dying and it turning him much darker. Like the changes Shane and Rick have gone through.

no way Glenn dies, not after what he's gone though. the only way i see that happening is if it's a self sacrifice play to save Maggie (meaning she lives), but even then i really don't think the writers will kill off one of the fan favorites

If Glenn dies, it's sacrificing for Maggie, or they both go down together saving the group.
I actually thought Shane and Dale were popular characters as well - I don't think Kirkman has any problem killing off supporting stars.

I highly doubt Daryl dies, he is too valuable to the ratings.. Glen is even less likely as they spent a great deal of time on his transformation into beast mode in the last few episodes. I think Merle will die in a redeeming self sacrifice move to save Daryl.. let him go out on top, and it will give Daryl some closure as well with his brother and allow him to move on.

Issues watching it? No.
Issues with how it was played out? Many. The least of which being the seeming accuracy of the Woodbury citizens, comparable to the A-Team.

Were those the same guys on the wall? I think the doods up on the wall were different than the ones who attacked the army soldiers.
Pretty sure those guys on the wall are just rando citizens, not part of The Governor's personal killing army. Remember the really scared guy who went out with Merle to kill Michonne? He is probably a wall regular, maybe that is why they showed us him. It would seem to me that only a handful of the Woodbury citizens are hardened killers with experience.
That was the only bad part I saw, was when Rick stood ten feet from the wall and the guy missed him. Besides that, we don't know the distance those shots were being fired, and into a cloud of smoke. The army guys were standing still with their backs turned, and there was clear vision for the shooters, not into smoke where you can't see crap, basically firing blind. The guys in the bush also had ample time to set up and get ready to fire. Also the most important part, they weren't being fired back at, like all the guys in Woodbury were.
Also we are arguing the realism of gun shot fire in a zombie TV series.

i don't think anyone liked Dale for all the whining he did, especially when they had that captive from the other group. and the writing was on the wall for Shane even if you didn't read the comics
T-Dog was a background character for the entire series, and no one liked Lori so hers was an easy way to do a dramatic death (and stayed true to the comics). but Glenn has gotten some of the highest screen time of any character outside Rick, and they've gone to a lot of effort to show his transition from meek scavenger to badass survivor. i really don't see him getting offed anytime soon

The woodbury folk are only uncompromisingly good shots when firing on hardened military personnel with advanced weaponry on their own turf, not a handful of miscreants sneaking through a barricade.
Who knew a killing blow with a Samurai Sword was a choke out with the handle...
I guess it set up the eye stabbing pretty well.
Too bad about Oscar, but you knew his number was up when they introduced another black character (my main man Dennis Wise).
Loved Cutty (tyrese? nah, he's still cutty from the cut), referring to Carl as 'the man'.
I think at some point this season Carl is going to 'deal' with Axel.

So is the prison black guy dead or just wounded?
If he's dead, damn. The Walking Dead takes their token black characters seriously. One at a time please, one at a time.

He dead, mang.
Like Omar Epps in scream, zero character development+black = going to die.
You know my man Cutty is going to be there for awhile. One episode in and he's getting lead screen time, dialogue and reaction/reflection shots. Character development overdrive.

Well he was lying face down in a pool of his own blood by that bus, with Maggie crying over him. Soo.... up to interpretation.
