In any case, we must get Reyes back if the Jays lose two Short stops right away. Wow, 10 million per year for Reyes (at 29 yrs old) who is probably the best short stop right now in MLB.

Batting average means nothing and means even less in AAA. Runs scored should not be a stat that people ven look at twice. Right now his highest potential at the plate is that of an average hitter. now I'm not going to sell him down the pond because he was traded because his defense is amazing but his bat is incredibly weak.

Wow, Josh Johnson, Buerhle AND Reyes for Hech and Escobar. To me, that's a steal (assuming Reyes is there for the Jays to take on salary). I like Buerhle myself, but didn't he have an issue with the Jays a few years back saying he didn't like anyone on the team or was that someone else? If so, he'll likely be dealt somewhere else, but regardless, seems like a great deal for the Jays. Perhaps on top of that AA has another signing in mind? Wow.

So arguably the best SS in baseball, a #1 legit starter, an innings eating #3, a starting capable 2b/OF (2B is more open for Bonificio but he has played more OF in the past), backup catcher throw in
for a SS they had to trade, a defense only infielder, Alvarez, Nicolino and maybe JP or one of the minor league outfielders

Marisnick is going to be a stud. Jays having to give him up is big

great move by AA, bigger move which won't get noticed as much is probably by Rogers, because they just took back a huge amount of money, shows they are willing to spend

I am looking at the whole picture. I am not worry about his BA indicating star. Batting in AAA takes longer to develop for minor players. So he should be even better once his learning curve develop. He has every indication to be very very good besides his defensive plays.

Marisnick has been borderline terrible this season for his age/level so it does take a bit of luster off his potential. Having Gose + Alford + Davis ++++++++ in terms of outfielder prospects makes it easier to include him.

Every scouting report, everyione that follows baseball has him projected at best to be an average bat. he doesn't walk, he doesn't hit for power and he struggles with anything outside of fastballs. He's John Macdonald but with a little better bat and slightly better defense

I still think he's going to be great but if you're the Blue Jays you have Gose and Rasmus at CF, you can very well afford to trade him. He's still young enough we shouldn't ready to much into his numbers jumping up a level this year.

Wow. Big pick up for the Jays. Now ship them all off for Morneau.

Ugh it's not nice to keep hearing the names trickle out of what the Jays gave up. Marisnick I can live with, but REALLY hope Nicolino is the only pitching prospect we have to part with.

If we can somehow avoid another of the Lansing 3 and TDA - this can't be anything other than great news!
