Agreed, I hope JPA goes and we can keep D'Arnaud and most of our pitching prospects.

If Nicolino is the best prospect the Jays have to give up I'll be doing backflips.

Mixed feelings about blockbuster trade. I hate to lose a very promising player in Hechavarria who was an 2012 Triple-A allstar. Hechavarria at 23 yrs old had a .312 batting avergae and had scored 78 runs in 102 games with the Triple-A Las Vegas 51's of the (PCL). He was the best short stop in Cuba at the time he defected. In any case, we must get Reyes back if the Jays lose two Short stops right away. Wow, 10 million per year for Reyes (at 29 yrs old) who is probably the best short stop right now in MLB.

Vegas stats are extremely inflated to the point of being useless due to that park

which is why the Jays moved out of there, most scouts don't think Hech hits at all in MLB

Hech is basically going to be a better version of John MacDonald.

Hech is a very good defensive SS. A borderline MLB calibre player right now. I don't see his bat ever making him an above average SS, however.

Escobar, meh.

Alvarez is also a pretty big meh for me. I'm not sure he'll ever reach his potential. While his arm is electric, that 2nd pitch is just not there.
