Really saying that you hope the Flames have better players than Akim Aliu isn't a big deal but because some posters look only at the poster and then overeact and make stuff up to fit their fantasy world these things get blown out of proportion.

Hopefully Sven keeps up the solid play and pots some more points tonight.
Mate, it's a message board where everyone is generally pretty cool to everyone. So what's their motivation to consistently bring up your tone? Let's see, Kate Upton GIFS, iPhone v Android round 902,323,434,456, and funny cats... No, we're all gonna call the guy with the Cardinals avatar out for no reason whatsoever because we're all a very united group of secret sociopaths.

Yeah thats probably it. It couldn't be that your behavior is irritating to most normal, free-thinking people.

Well, that's great, I'd take Hossa over Naslund, personally.

Hossa is pretty strong carrying the puck up ice, Sven didn't look exceptional in that area in his brief NHL stint. Of course, I'm not claiming its not a strength of his as I've hardly seen him play.

99% of the posters on the board and 99% of my posts have no issues so I would relax a bit on the everyone hates you and it is all your fault BS.

Nobody is "constantly bringing up my tone" but you would have to ask them about the times that they do.

I'll start by saying I'm an Akim Aliu fanboy, but he needs to find another level if he ever wants to be a consistant NHL'er. Moon is right in saying that if this is as good as he will ever be, we have better prospects to fill the bottom 6. On topic, can anyone tell me if the Sven pick was off the board when we picked him? Or was he picked where most pundits thought he would go?

He was picked in the general area he was predicted to go.

I think some rankings had him as high as 8, but for the most part he was ranked about 10-15 I would say.

Ya he was chosen right in line with most lists... I remember being disappointed at the time, haha.

Some nice plays by Horak and Reinhart on the first two goals. That's great to see.
And holy **** at that pass by Sven on the 3rd goal! The in-tight deke on his goal was also a beauty. Those are 3 players that I hope to see on the Flames in the near future. I hope they keep up the good work for the Heat. Looking forward to the televised game next week!

All of you, shut up about Aliu. This is Sven's thread.

I don't even remember which plug we traded to Winnipeg to get this guy.

So, hate the fact that there is a lockout, but maybe the best thing for Sven's development. Give him some confidence at the first level of pro, then work into the NHL, vs being rushed into being a franchise savior.

Also - pretty exciting what is going on with our prospects. Wonder what attendance would be like if the Heat were the Calgary Heat for the lockout. Hope that there is at least one Calgary game for the kids here this year if the lockout persists.

When you guys see his one timer from tonight, nobody is going to be talking about Aliu.

As for comparables, I think he's a lot like Eberle. Hossa is so powerful and a lot bigger. Naslund may not be too far off, although Sven seems more tenacious to me.

Ironic that those members attacking Moon cannot see that their posts have now surpassed Moon's in becoming much more annoying than anything they claim he is guilty of.

^ What's amazing is how that same irony train you speak of keeps on rolling right down the tracks because the thread got back to Sven and you just made it as annoying again as you're seemingly complaining about.

Highlights from tonight's game, Sven's goal and assist give him four points in two career AHL games.

Did the Heat coax Dan Cloutier out of retirement? He looked horrendous in those highlights.

1 problem, that is wrong. Cory Conacher with the Crunch has 5 points in a pair of games so far. Sven is 2nd tied with Nino.
