Really? Pacific Center? I don't even remember there being that many stores there.... Maybe the T&T is bolstering the sales.

Oh i guess the #1 in North America was info i got from my commercial real estate agent before their last big expansion. Still pretty impressive and pretty crappy parking!
And i was staying in a hotel by the pacific center mall. it's actually pretty crappy. but because they are small and have one of the highest grossing apple stores in the world it inflates their number. Also Chinook is doing $1090sqft in August with crappy Zellers and Sears. I'm sure Target and Nordstrom in their will put them back into the top3.

I don't care if it's the #1 mall in North America in sales. It's number 230127493274 in terms of parking and easy access.

Use the new parkade on the north side. Couldn't be easier to access from Macleod and no one parks on the lowest level. Old habits die hard and most people still try to park between the food court and Chapters for some dumb reason.

Yeah I'm shocked it's that high.
To be fair, I said "not even close" to it being #1 in total sales.

i would say that generally speaking, it is never easy to get into/out of any place that is busy (like a mall), that is surrpunded by busy roads.
To me south Center is easier, because Anderson is not nearly as busy as glenmore.

It sucks living by a big mall. I live a block away from Market mall and it takes me an extra 15 minutes to get to my house in December. Also on boxing week, there are a tonne of cars jammed park on the street in front of my house.

Never had any issues parking there. My only complaint is trying to find an entrance into the mall from the underground parking.

ok i have to admit i'm pretty much a south ctrain virgin.
Last month i had to bring my car to Silverhill Acura and they were out of loaner cars so i had to train it back to sait from Chinook.
A train comes and it was packed! so i figured i'd wait for the next one. and then the next one was packed. so i waited for 4 trains until i said eff it and jammed my way in stepping on some girls foot. hahahha. I was like 15 minutes late too!
Considering i didn't give two craps when i was in HK or Tokyo catching the subway and just barged in, i think my calgary politeness is making me weak!

With the train station being closed for 8 months for the rebuild, Chinook will be a disaster zone everyone should avoid. Would be a good time for renos.

So don't live by a mall. It's a big city.

Focusing on Southcentre is a good thing for Sears.

I don't use the entrance, but the Macleod NB entrance @ 61 Ave is a pure backlog nightmare. I would have thought the recent expansion would have made them fix that intersection.
