Carolina's GM (Slobodan) was last active on the forums on the 12th, haven't seen him on PSN.
I'm sure he's probably just busy with something. We've got a couple more days till the first week is over, so see what happens I guess.

TSN has just heard that Kings C Valtteri Filppula has just been traded to the Dallas Stars, in exchange for C Patrik Berglund.
Filppula's agent was reached by phone, and he confirmed that his client received a call from the Kings stating that he had been traded to the Stars.
In addition, Kings backup goaltender Jacob Markstrom was told today that he has been dealt to the Toronto Maple Leafs in exchange for D Keith Yandle. The Kings also gave their first round pick to Toronto in the deal.
Los Angeles Kings GM Stealth22 was reached by phone late Saturday to discuss the moves. "Like I told you guys, we're always looking for ways to improve our team. We have an elite starter in Neuvirth, and we were in conversations with Toronto. They were looking for a starting goalie, and they sort of implied that Keith was on the table for the right price. I was a little apprehensive about the pick at first, but it upgrades our back end a little bit. We're comfortable with Neuvirth moving forward, and Peter (Budaj) is a solid #1B or #2A goaltender. Jacob is an amazing goalie, and we hated to give him up, but we wish him well with the Leafs. He's got a solid career ahead of him."
"And the Berglund deal sort of just fell together tonight. Just a little earlier, jedaco, the Stars GM called me, and expressed interest in Filppula, and we made the deal. Patrik is a young guy that has a lot of potential, and he would fit in great in our top 6."
When asked if there were any more moves coming, the Kings GM had no comment. "I can't talk about anything specific in that regard. All of the GM's are always in contact with one another, we're always talking. Does that mean we've all got secret deals going on? No. But we're always in conversation, and getting a feel for what's out there."

I do that. Then I get several options. Don't know what one to pick as I don't want to all of a sudden sim a game. Or will it just set it up and say that this game I would like to play. Or, this game I would like to sim.
I need to look at the options again, or if someone would be willing to flat out tell me which option to choose.
I rather play against humans as I like to exploi.... ummm, I mean compete against them, but I might not be able to get in some games.

Good day comrades! A long NHL-weekend has passed, a weekend which ended with me waiting to undergo a surgery in my finger tomorrow after a little incident with a wine glass.
Therefore I'm looking forward to dedicate the entire day and evening to the Calgarypuck GM Connected League!
Since I am 8 hrs ahead of Calgary-time I'll be available until about 4PM.
My line-up for now is:
Parentau (82) - Vermette (83) - Perry (88)
Foligno (82) - Marchand (83) - Bergenheim (79)
Caron (76) - Brule (79) - Brouwer (78)
Dalpe (73) - Fraser (75) - Dorsett (74)
Hedman (85) - Barker (81)
Ballard (81) - Gardiner (81)
White (79) - Hunwick (76)
Rask (83)
Poulin (73)
As I see it I've got a top notch young defense mixed with a balanced offense who is lacking elite talent besides Perry.
In this league, as opposed to my others, I want to fill a team with players that I am especially fond of rather than having the youngest guys with the highest potential.
On the block:
Well, basically all of the forwards except Perry and Marchand
In the game I find Hedman very good but since all the play I get to see from him is when he represents Sweden internationally so I rather not keep him but if I get a fair offer he is absolutely available.
All of the other defensemen are also available and remember, my new philosophy is that age is just a number!

Can someone tell me how do you go about joining a game as a PLAYER? My friend GMs Vancouver, and I GM Calgary. He and I want to play with each other online against the CPU.
How the hell do you do this? Frickin EA always has to make things so difficult to figure out.

Pretty sure the only way to play together is to have him at your house on the same ps3.

If that's true, I'm going to snap. They advertised online coop against the CPU.

If you're both GM you can't do that. One of you have to be the GM and the other player joins the team.
You can only play one role in GM Connected. GM or player (or coach).

How do you join as a Player or Coach? I didn't see an option to choose when I joined our league.

quick question, how is it possible that some players have played 5 and 6 games already? Is this just a result from the scheduling?

The first person to the join the team will be GM. As long as the league allows multiple players on one team, following will be players.
Commissioner Note: All GM vacancy have been filled! Each of the 30 teams are now occupied.

Whatever games you have on the right side of your screen, you are eligible to play. If you and the opposing teams gm are on, play. If theres an agrrement to play vs cpu, play. Yada yada. Some of us have played our games.
But im assuming some people have more games in any given week than others.

The current schedule is actually the first 2 weeks of the NHL schedule. So there is a higher number of games to be played.

Jobo, Do you think we could make another thread for Trade Block, Rosters and trades? Perhaps you could reserve the first post slot or 2nd for updated rosters on approved trades?
