Harry Kane on loan for the season to Norwich
good move for him and Norwich I think, he needs playing time and is very highly thought of by Spurs coaches and England

Really optimistic about Southampton's pickups this window. If Ramirez is half what he's touted to be he'll help Lallana and Steven Davis in midfield.
Mayuka and Yoshida give Saints more depth on the back end, hopefully enough to keep them up this season.

Swansea with a usuall draw vs Sunderland. Major blow losing stalwart defender Taylor in the 16th minute to a fractured ankle, damn. The 23rd year old Taylor was a starter for "Team GB" at London 2012.

he doesn't, any decent left winger with pace will crush him
I think this does mean Mancini wants to play with 3 at the back more often though
Milner was playing WB last weekend, with Maicon though he now has good options for both sides (Kolarov on the left)

I was pleased with Norwich today. I'll be the first to admit that Tottenham didn't play well, plus all of the distractions of the club being so busy on deadline day, but Norwich kept them under pressure and were rewarded with a draw. Could have been a win, to be fair. But when you walk out of White Hart Lane with a point in hand, it hasn't been a bad day.

Lindegaard has been solid since his injury, I give him the next start.

Southampton score on their first shot-- Rafael dominated.

Didnt see it mentioned anywhere;
Chelsea's Meireles to Fenerbahce;
Quote:
A statement on Monday evening on Chelsea's official website read: "Raul Meireles has today joined Fenerbahce on a permanent transfer.

Chelsea target Hulk to Zenit St. Petersberg;
Quote:
Zenit St Petersburg have signed highly-rated Brazilian forward Hulk from FC Porto on a five-year contract.
Hulk is believed to be a long-time target of Chelsea but the Russian giants have ended speculation linking him with a Stamford Bridge move after confirming their swoop for the forward on their official website on Monday evening.

And Liverpool is a horrifying mess.

And some 'news' out of Arsenal:
Quote:
Peter Hill-Wood has conceded that Arsenal cannot spend as much on players as the likes of Premier League rivals Manchester City and Chelsea.
"Arsene has money to spend but there's a limit. We can't spend £50million on one player," Hill-Wood told the Evening Standard.
"At a certain level, we can't compete. I don't think [majority shareholder] Stan Kroenke is going to put the sort of dollars in that [Roman] Abramovich or Sheikh Mansour are putting into Chelsea or Manchester City. That's not the way he thinks clubs should be run.

I've no love for Arsenal but its nice to know that some people have a fundamental grasp on the concept of fiscal responsibility.

Michael Owen ends up with Stoke after Liverpool may not have shown an interest in him.
The club posted on their official Twitter account: "Stoke City are delighted to announce the signing of Michael Owen on a one-year deal, subject to Premier League Board approval

Not surprised that Liverpool showed no interest, his injury history is just too much.
Stoke is shaping up as an interesting team though.
