so Liverpool is willing to pay £35m for Carroll, £16m for Henderson and £20m for Downing, yet they're unwilling to pay £6m for Dempsey after weeks of negotations? WTF?

Very happy with the VdV deal to Hamburg, I can cheer for him again... Not nearly as happy about Dempsey to Spurs.
While I'm happy with the summer additions, Arsenal has done nothing to recoup the loss of selling Song. They had better hope everyone gets healthy, and soon.

Apparently Fullham were going to make Liverpool pay 2-3 mil more then any other clubs bidding.
We are going to be extremely thin up front his season unless we pull something miraculous out in the next 20 minutes.

Pretty discouraging day again to be an Arsenal fan. I have no idea what Wenger is doing, the team was thin before he sold Van Persie and Song. No excuse not to pay for top talent with the resources they have, if I was paying for tickets I would be livid.
