Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant has agreed to strict guidelines from team officials regarding his conduct away from the field.
The guidelines Bryant agreed to took effect Aug. 23 when the team returned to Dallas after three weeks of training camp in California, according to sources.
Sources say some of the rules Bryant must abide are as follows:
• A midnight curfew. If he's going to miss curfew, team officials must know in advance
• No drinking alcohol.
• He can't attend any strip clubs and can only attend nightclubs if they are approved by the team and he has a security team with him.
• He must attend counseling sessions twice a week.
• A rotating three-man security team will leave one man with Bryant at all times.
• Members of the security team will drive Bryant to practices, games and team functions.
The Cowboys are literally baby sitting this thug?
Just unreal.

Justin Tucker has made long kicks (50 yards or more) at ease, I thought John Harbaugh might make an idiotic move glad he didn't as Billy Cundiff was let go not long ago.

Seahawks cut Terrell Owens.

LOVE this trade. Colts needed a starting CB badly, and a young guy like Davis is perfect

That's two down, one left (Moss) to go. I don't think he will last the season in San Francisco.

He is a good pickup but keep in mind he lost his starting job this camp to Richard Matthews. He came to camp out of shape and from all accounts was very lazy early on in camp.

Seattle trades Tavaris Jackson to Buffalo. Must mean the end of Vince Young in Buffalo?

Likely...he was god awful last night against the Steelers. A 25 QB rating IIRC.

Yup, really no issue with Tavares in Seattle. He was an upgrade over Whitehurst last year in replacing Hasselbeck, but the contract he got meant he was always set up to be the transition guy until Carroll and Schneider, through all their other moves, figured out which basket they were putting the QB eggs.
He is a great backup, slightly below average starter. That said, his receivers last year were horrid, and with a few more tools to work with (and Seattle lost more then a few close games), things could've turned out better, at least as far as accomplishments go.
With Wilson fairly unexpectedly already closing in on the starting job, a no brainer to pass Jackson on to someone else for the last year of his deal...having watched Young against Seattle last year, and not seeing a lot of Thigpen, I think Jackson easily should be 2nd on the Bills depth chart.

Manning and the Broncos starters looked fantastic today against San Francisco. Brandon Stokley made a really nice grab that should be on a lot of highlight shows tonight.

Jets are just a mess on offense, and although its only preseason, i see nothing that makes me believe they will get any better into the regular season either. Could be a long and ugly year in Jet land.

It will be interesting to see how he handles the increased complexity of NFL defenses as the regular season starts. It doesn't hurt that they play one of the worst teams in the league in the first game.

Dallas' problem for more than a decade is to draft or trade for pure talent but no character.
I remember one game last year, their CB from USF (M Jenkins I think ... but not sure) absolutely wiffed on making a hit just in front of the goal line, he literally changed his angle to get out of the ball carriers way and I remember thinking, typical Dallas.
They had a chance for a couple years when Parcells was around, but outside of a 2 or maybe 3 year blip, they have been rudderless with their personnel decisions.

I recall reading an article in SI a couple years ago which had a good interview with Jerry Jones. He basically said he loves the "big personality" guys, because that's the type of guys they had when they won their 3 titles in the 90's, so now he equates that type of player with winning championships.
I've heard his son Jerry Jr disagrees with him in this regard, the team will probably be a lot better off once he gets the reigns, whenever that will be.

Just got back to the Hotel after the Jets, Panthers game. That was fun! Not the greatest game but as my first NFL game, I thoroughly enjoyed. What a stadium. Metlife is worldclass
