Rudd is a pretty damn good tackler. Only problem is most of his tackles are 5-8 yards from the line of scrimage. Never seen a guy who is actually a pretty solid tackler seemingly refuse to hit the hole to make tackles. When he made that hit on I believe Julius Jones in the 2010 regular season finale to cause the fumble, most Bucs fans thought it was a mistake, it had to be someone else.

And he got beat out by a rookie last year in Tennessee. I think he's nothing more than a warm body until everyone heals.

Eagles have some talent on that D line that will end up on some one else's team. A lot of depth there and should be a strength to this team this year.
The thing that impressed me most about Foles was the way he got in there and commanded the huddle. This was a bunch of veterans and he just walked in there like it was his huddle. Dude looks like a natural leader, and he has a cannon for an arm.

Oh ya I don't think anyone's expecting much more out of him than as a filler, if Lofton can't come back for awhile its pretty clear the Saints are in trouble at that position.

I'm sure by the sounds of all his injuries in the past that Ruud's a shadow of what he once was, but back in 07-09'ish I think he was one of the more underrated players in the league. I remember quite a few times when the Saints were at Raymond James seeing him cause our run game all sorts of problems, and then hearing that "Ruuuuuud" chant from the crowd several times a game.

I kinda felt bad for Barrett in the end. He played his ass off, never complained and all he ever really wanted was a nice long-term deal from the Bucs. And they never really gave it to him. The defense did fall apart without him last year, but I of course will choose to blame that more on beyond pathetic efforts and the abysmal coaching of Raheem.

I was impressed with Foles ability to move around in the pocket. He isn't fast by any stretch, but he looked good.

Yeah, I noticed that too. Took charge and called the plays and that was no vanilla offence they were running last night. he already looks better than Kafka every has, I think Foles easily moves up to the number two spot in the pecking order. Actually I would be ok with letting Kafka go and sticking with Edwards as the third. Might as well develop your future now and Edwards is a reliable veteran.

He's not the quickest guy but he seem to have a very good pocket presence. It's really all about sensing the pressure and knowing when to step up or back. As rube said, he looks like a natural.

NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell handed down suspensions that will cost Saints linebacker Jonathan Vilma and Broncos linebacker D.J. Williams some money this year, but they aren’t interested in getting any of it back as a result of Goodell visiting a restaurant they own in Miami.

A window at Brother Jimmy’s BBQ, the restaurant the two linebackers opened earlier this month along with fellow University of Miami linebacking product Jon Beason, features a sign with Goodell’s picture taped to the window. As you can see in the picture at right, which comes via Twitter users @ALLIN1 and @JeremyIvans13, the sign is also adorned with the message “DO NOT SERVE THIS MAN.”

Vilma I sorta get, but Williams? Dude, you got caught switching drug tests so you wouldn't test positive. Don't complain about your suspension.

Oh man! Mariani's injury looked gruesome. Sucks to see that he will be done for the year.

Returning a punt and leg got caught up with a teammate and his ankle was bending in a way that it should not be bending.

DJ might want to get used to the restaraunt business because Nate Irving has looked fantastic so far this preseason. DJ's best years are behind him.

Don't get to see alot of Titans games, so I don't really know much about Colin McCarthy, but people are saying he is gonna be a top 5 lB this year and a pro-bowler.

Billy Cundiff appeared to be coming across as very bitter of late about the kicking battle in camp with Justin Tucker, hopefully he is gonzo after his whiny childish comment after not playing Thursday (judging by his reaction his fate might have already been sealed). Justin Tucker has badly outperformed him both in practices and now games. Why Billy Cundiff got a contract worth $15 million over 5 years is still beyond me, guy is an really average kicker who cashed in big time after a big season. Other rookie free agents who should make the team are Omar Brown, Bobby Rainey (kid kinda reminds of Ray Rice), and Deonte Thompson.

Tucker was really good for us for 2 years. However, UT didn't go for a lot of long kicks with him so I didn't think he had the leg strength to be an NFL kicker. Although, he was dead on from inside the 40 yd line.
