Elliote Freedman has been hosting the round table on the Fan590 the last two weeks. Could listen to him all day.

Thanks for the recommendation - he is making baseball talk borderline interesting.

I gotta agree with those that would like to see Bryn replaced. There's two factors in play here. Bryn on his own is bad enough but it's what happens to Steniberg when they're together. Steinberg's disdain for Bryn has become so painful that it is no longer bearable to listen to. I understand that this is how he makes his living but my goodness it has become painful.

I am sure the FAN knows this thread exists. He is not a "love to hate" kind of guy he is just ba at his job

I really wish Kerr would come back and Loubo would return to pbp.

I think I'll start a petition to bring back Loubardias as well. Kerr can go back to his old job, problem solved.

Kill two birds with one stone.

I simply cannot understand why they replaced a good PBP guy with a poor one, and then replaced a good radio host with a poor one. They not only didn't improve in a single area, they got much worse. Both guys are just so damn awkward in their current positions. It makes me uncomfortable.

Petitioning for a guy to lose his job, especially when it is an optional and free service, is beyond lame.

It is a bit harsh but the FAN is in the business for ratings it is not public broadcasting here. Having people who suck at their job and cause people to turn the station is not good business.

The FAN has to know that Bryn is not popular because he is just very bad at his job. When he questions Pat he does it in a way that makes him sound uneducated not the devils advocate.

Man this Bryn dude has made me boycot the Fan960. I went from tuning in for hours a day to avoiding it at all costs. I can't stand to hear him speak or to hear Steinberg mumble the same point 8 times in 6 sentences.

IMO the whole lineup went down the toilet when Richards left. There was not enough talent to fill the hole.

For me Fan960 = game day broadcasts. Even Steinberg is better when he does OT because he is confronted with actual opinions he can agree/disagree with.

Normal days they flounder.

Bryn would be better in another role like sports highlights reading from a TelePrompTer. He has no opinion and doesn't seem to know what's going on in sports. That's kind of his job.

I'd like to think of it as petitioning for a guy to get re-hired (Loubardias). He's the one who lost his job.

Kerr took his job, Griffiths took Kerr's job. I'm just trying to fix what is broken.

I don't listen to the sports jibba jabba too much. I don't like the concept of the thread running a guy out of a job. Having said that, I am inclined to throw in a CD in the car radio on afternoons where there is no news. The problem with people who suggest changing the dial are missing the very obvious point that this is the only game in town for continuous sports blather. He is not brutal, just not compelling. Agreed with the sentiment that Loubo > Kerr at PBP and Kerr > Griffiths at afternoon yakkety. Kerr did a good job and deserved a promotion, so I don't know where you go from here.

On a positive, I LOVE the morning show lineup. I don't miss funny voices guy at all. I think guys like Mike Richards have a "shelf life" and after 8 years I was glad to see him leave. Rhett Warrener on "Maher in the Morning" is the best 15 minutes in Calgary sports radio.

As far as the afternoon show goes I think Brynn is OK. Nothing spectacular though. Steinberg is good but maybe he would have better chemistry with someone closer in age, or no partner at all. All in all the afternoon show IMO was better with KerrBoom but I was getting tired of Rob Kerrs "Not only am I gonna talk about headshots, I'm gonna talk about headshots for the NEXT 2 HOURS STRAIGHT". So to me , after all the changes, the afternoon show is a little bit worse, but the morning show is way better.

As far as the PBP goes, I liked Loubardias quite a bit, but It doesn't matter to me. We have a PBP LEGEND in Peter Maher who does every game.

As far a petitioning to get someone fired, get a life! Ashasx, think of it this way. Even though in your mind you are "fixing what is broken" think about what you are doing. Loubardias figures that a major part of the reason he got canned was because of all the internet hate. Needless to say he does not think very highly of people like you. Rob Kerr is his friend and I am sure even Loubo wouldn't want you to petition on his behalf at the expense of getting Kerr canned from his dream job.

Hey man, you spelled his name wrong; it's Bryan Griffin and he's the pet dog of the Griffin family on the popular show "Family Guy".

Bryan is an anthropomorpic dog that can talk. He displays clear human traits, while still seemingly being governed by his canine instincts in certain instances (feeling the need to play fetch, having a fear of vacuum cleaners, etc.)Bryan attended Brown University and holds Liberal political positions. He primarily works in the series as a struggling writer attempting essays, books, novels, screenplays and newspaper articles.

He's also an alcoholic and has a human son named Dylan (which is super weird and slightly sexy). He dates human women who don't seem to realize/care that he is a dog.

I hope this answers your question

I agree. I'm not a Griffith's fan by any means but I feel uncomfortable seeing people lobby for a person that they don't know personally, who hasn't commited any crime, or done anything controversial, to lose his livelihood. I don't feel sorry for athletes that make millions on guaranteed contracts but this guy is just like any of us trying to make a living. Don't like him, don't listen but campaigning for him to lose his job is kind of pathetic IMO.

And yet this thread exists and has nothing in it except negative opinions on Bryn. This thread shouldn't even be in this forum. It has nothing to do with hockey or the Flames at all.

Say what you want but having an ongoing thread to bash the #### out of a guy is not very much different than a thread/post saying he shouldn't be there anymore.

Furthermore, why is it ok to petition for other people to lose their jobs? People are constantly hoping Matt Stajan loses his job. Plenty of people petitioned for Brent Sutter to lose his job, same with KK, same with Darryl.

Do we feel sorry for Bryn because he's probably not rich like the others?

And what about Loubo? I'd love for him to have his job back. Can I not wish for that either because it would inevitably mean that someone else would lose their job?

Seems a bit hypocritical to have this thread go on for months and absolutely slam Bryn. You don't think people from the Fan 960 read this? There is a fine line between allowing people to call him a talentless loser that ruined the radio station, caused them to stop listening and they want Kerr back as opposed to just flat out saying you hope he's fired.

The weirdest part is that Ashasx's post wasn't focused on Bryn at all. It was about getting Loubo back on TV.

When I perform poorly on the job, I get fired. Why should media guys with the sole purpose of entertaining the audience be immune to such criticism?

I may not get criticized by the public while I do my job, but my job isn't related to the public. The people I need to impress are my colleagues. Bryn needs to impress both his colleagues and his listeners.

I believe he's failing to do at least one of those things. This thread is warranted.

And yeah, I am bitter that a kind-hearted man that was actually good at his job got replaced by lesser talent. I am the audience, so I'm making it known.
