These "flash sales" are insane... common Valve, we gotta sleep sometime!

I don't think you absolutely need to, if that's what you're asking. Might be good to take a couple of minutes to read what happens in the first if you're going to play HL2 though.

I only played a couple of hours of HL1 myself. Other than that I have been following the Freeman's Mind walkthrough on YouTube (which is probably never going to get finished at the currect pace).

I would recommend playing Half-Life 1. Great game. The Half-Life series is one of the few games that I will replay every couple years. Even the spin offs where you are a security guard or solider are decent too.

I am going to get no work done until 11 and day 2 is over with, besides flash sales. I hate you steam.

When does the "today's deal" flip over?

I'd like to get Max Payne 3 but that's still a little too pricy for me. I've had Anno 2070 on my wishlist for over a year so $25 for the game and all the DLC seems like a decent price. Might get Binding of Issac and the Tribes starter pack.

May Payne 3 at that price is an amazing deal. Great game.

I am hoping Rage ends up the Community Choice deal. Also, played a bit of Shogun 2 and I have to say it's pretty awesome.

I love how Max Payne looks like Walter White.

Goddamn Steam is awesome - I just logged into the storefront from work and purchased Max Payne for half price when payment was complete it asked me if I wanted to install it remotely on my PC because I was logged in at home. I had no idea that option was available.

Neither did I, I have been using teamviewer to do everything and it can be slow.

You should start with the first one because skipping it means you miss an awesome game. It's still really fun, and the graphics aren't even all that bad, even today. I just played through most of HL1 again about 2 months ago, and I am re-playing HL2 right now after getting it in this sale.

Everyone please vote for Rage!

Agree 100% Which is funny because pretty much everyone hated it when it first came out. I buy pretty much all my games through Steam these days.

Good to know about the remote install. I usually remoted into my computer and bought games that way during steam sales.

Toy Soldiers is on a flash sale right now. I guess it's hard to go wrong for $2.50, but has anyone played this? I'm not sure what to expect from the screenshots and video. Is it just another tower defense game with antique toy soldiers, or is there way more to it than that?
