I thought there was some talk that they thought he may be tipping pitches to Red Sox somehow, but it was shot down based on Farrell likely knowing if that were the case.
Yes he does.

Romero has been awful this year. He must be a front runner for most walks this season.

Yeah, Romero's walks are way up and his strikeouts are down. Thus far his record has been really inflated by the run support he's been given. Last year IIRC he didn't get particularly great run support...but his other numbers were really good.

The guys on Getting Blanked were talking about how Romero and Lee's records are the inverse of one another. One pitcher is pitching terribly yet winning and the other is pitching pretty damn well and cannot get a win.

Sucks that the Jays could only get 1 run off Dice-K yesterday. Matsuzaka's stuff isn't very good anymore. He's lost a noticeable amount of velocity on his fastball.

8-12 weeks roughly, still a little bit up in the air. Signs are really good now and he tossed hte ball yesterday, just a slow process.

So we just got back from Boston - amazing city and ball park. Couldn't say enough good things about Boston and their fans, as almost all of them were welcoming and willing to talk baseball - great people.

Long story short, missed my flight out on Monday, got to Fenway just in time for the game to be called. So we checked out and went and got some beers. Noticed on NESN the game was going to be resumed, and went to get back in, but they have a no re-entry policy. Was a little upset, as I didn't even get to see a pitch on Monday night - the only good thing is 4/6 of us didn't miss the flight, so they got to see some serious runs put on the board.

Game 2 we were down on field level for BP and met a guy with front row seats, started chatting him up, and he said he'd come get us from our section if he and his friends decided to leave. 3rd inning, he and his buddy brough us all some beers (surprised he remembered our section and seats). So after four innings, we decided to get him back and me and the guy who's stag we were on, took em down four beers. His buddies hadn't shown up for the game yet, so we got to watch a couple innings from the first row right behind Brett Lawrie. Money seats and a great guy - also made Sportsnets segway into the 5th innings, pretty cool to see on PVR. Sportsnet also captured a head nod from Laffey we got before the game started, apparently "Laffey Taffey" is something he enjoys being called. I hate being that drunk.

All in all, great trip - the only thing I would have changed was thinking that showing up an hour before your flight was a good idea. Great stuff, and if anyone can make the trip, do it - like I said, great atmosphere, great city and full of great people!
