It's not on the map of affected areas. The areas in the affected communities are clustered around Shaganappi Trail, not Beddington/Symons Valley.

I think the city is saying it could take until mid next week to get sorted.

^the school is in hidden valley which was 100% included. The kincora boil water order was always only for a few streets to the west.

Agreed. If I was anywhere close to the boil water areas; I would also be making sure I was safe.

Why? They know exactly which pipes are fed by which distribution points and pumping stations. If the problem was more wide-spread because it was further upstream in the network, the boil water order would be too.

Anyway, now that I got over it as I think it was a pre-coffee breakfast ramble/attept at being funny, is there a point when the city is too big for quadrants?

Because the significance of saying something is in the SW/NE diminishes as the area grows.
It's like if someone is driving to meet you in Winnipeg and they tell you "I'm on HW1" which is not the least bit helpful as they could be anywhere in Canada. Same goes for anyone telling me such and such is in the SE.
Additionally, given that they're growing at different rates and have very different sizes they're not really quadrants, they'd be more aptly described as segments or areas.

I formally start a petition to rename 'Inner City North' to 'Latte Land', redraw the borders if necessary to make this a reality.
