I don't think anyone posting in here knew coming in the foot was from a guy brutally murdered in a snuff film. Honestly, I figured it was some political lunatic that cut off his own foot, or some nut that works at a hospital. I certainly didn't figure it to be anything like this; who could have? France they're saying... of course he probably arrived there a day or so before the foot arrived and the torso found so by now he could be anywhere.

I bet he's somewhere in Eastern Europe... one of the old Soviet satellite states. He'll turn up soon enough, he's obviously an attention whore so even if he eludes capture initially I imagine he'll throw himself into the radar once he's no longer frontpage news.

Exactly. Sounds like this guy can't stay away from the Internet. He'll slip up and post something somewhere on a message board or video site - authorities should be vigilant with their IP tracking efforts.

Oh please. Personally, I'm a schizophrenia sufferer sympathizer, not a Vincinet Li sympathizer, and people are perfectly capable of doing bat-#### nasty stuff without being schizophrenic. He is not obviously mentally ill until they catch him and look at him.

If your post wasn't an attempt at a thread derailment, I don't know what is.

Edit: I also find it funny you take the time to try and criticize the "bleeding hearts" out there when you came in this thread wanting the mods to delete all the puns made at the beginning of it because you felt they were in such bad taste.

I don't think they can be rehabilitated, but society might benefit from studying these people, in an effort to protect ourselves better.

Dude, two totally different cases. Two totally different people. You don't have to be a psychiatrist to see that.

One has a history of violence and very egocentric behavior and committed a crime that took a lot of planning. The other just snapped.

I'm not saying Li should ever be released, but he is ill. This guy is just a sociopath with no regard to others feelings or well being. He might be sick in some ways, (or at least different in ways that are hard for us to fathom) but he is obviously together enough to plan, to carry out, and to flee. He is not 'sick' in the way Li truly is 'sick'.

Again, I'm not defending Li's actions, it was a horrific crime and a sad story, and I don't think he should ever be released. But to say people like this (Li) should just be shot is not understanding the situation.

As for Luka... well I don't believe in capital punishment, but if he was killed either in capture or in sentencing I wouldn't care. Like I said, different situation and person than Li.

I think that there's a difference, Vincent Li can be treated and his condition can be controlled by drugs.
