In a 2007 interview with the Toronto Sun, Magnotta complained about “lies” linking him romantically to schoolgirl killer Homolka, who was released from prison in 2005.

Although Magnotta denied having a relationship with Homolka, Montreal police confirmed Wednesday the pair had dated.

It's so rare to see a story unfold like this, one shocking revelation after another in rapid succession. Even rarer that the police aren't clamping down on information (though I suppose most of it is already online at this point).

I am very curious to know how this guy came to connect with Homolka. Somehow I have to think it wasn't just a random encounter at a bar.

This is going to be a very deep rabbit hole when all is said and done.

The guy's website is quite concerning too. It's just full of links where he writes about propaganda in the media, people stalking him pretending to be him and about corruption within the legal system. Basically trying to convince people that the stories about him killing cats and his aunt, as well as cannibalism and necrophilia are all false. I have heard that he has about ten aliases as a way of trying to blend in, but apparently his entire body is made of plastic, and he doesn't fit in too well. I've also heard he's damned stupid and has gotten caught after just about everything he put on the internet.

I've heard he can speak Russian, so it is thought that he may flee to Eastern Europe, but it is widely believed he is hiding out somewhere between Toronto and Montreal.

Bizarre to look back at some of the "kitten vaccuumer" articles that basically predict that a person who does such things to animals is likely to go on to do the same to people. It looks strangely prescient in light of recent events, though I suppose it's the type of thing that gets said often enough without anything coming of it.

The website hosting it has taken it down at the request of the police, as the site it was uploaded to is Canadian based. I can only guess, the killer uploaded it, as it has been circulating the net 4 days now apparently. If so, I am guessing this guy wants to be caught, or honestly thinks he can get take on a new identity.

I think the police refusing to confirm it's authenticity to protect the victims family pretty much says it all. I was reading on one site, that the room in the video, and the apartment showed in the Montreal Gazette video, have numerous, exact features on the walls that all but confirm 100% it is a real video as discussed by the forum members. Normally I would link, but I wouldn't want to link to that type of website from here.

The general consensus out there, is the video is 100% real, and even the biggest gore fanatics out there, are in disbelief of its brutality.

Well at least the guy didn't seem to suffer much (from what I read). If he was drugged or out when he was killed then that's a small blessing. Not like the Tori Stafford thing where she was obviously in fear and pain right to the end.

All the horrific stuff here at least happened to a dead body. Still you gotta wonder at the madness and sickness of it all.

Part of me wants to watch the tape for sheer morbid curiosity. But there is that part of me, the part that has seen nasty gore videos before, that makes me not want to see it for my own sanity.

I'm almost certain this guy was covered on one of those A&E shows entitled Cold Case / Missing Persons / Con Artists or something to that nature. I swear I watched it about four or five months ago, and he was one of the 20-minute segments on the show on the hour-long proram. I specifically remember the guy who had multiple aliases, born in Russia (apparently) but lived in Montreal, and was in pornography / low budget magazines. In fact I'm absolutely sure it's him. I'll try and find a link when I can.
