\Because even with his struggles, he has power and a chance to tie it up with one swing of the bat. Nobody on the bench represents much of an upgrade at all

Aerencibia needs to start hitting the ball better. Lawrie, Bautista both really need to as well.
Janssen allowed 2 HR's all of last season and then 2 in the last 2 games.
I've never liked the signing of Corderro to begin with.
Rasmus and Johnson are going to really help make this a dynamic lineup this season.
Excited to see Drabek go tomorrow.
At the end of the day, they've played 8 games. 4-4. A lot of ups and downs so far, but the starting pitching has been really good and the bats will come around eventually. Bullpens struggles are a concern. 162 game season, lot of baseball left

Ricky Romero @RickyRo24 Gotta continue to stay focused and mentally strong. Remember it's a long season. This team will bounce back. Stay with us fans. #Jays

Great start for Drabek. Locating his fastball and getting a lot of movement on it.

Ya he made that play as tough as it possibly could be for Drabek.

His glove is OK so I guess he can handle first, seeing him throw, even 4 feet, is just horrible to watch though. Drabek might have grabbed it I guess but below the belt and behind the pitcher's body while in motion, bad stuff.

His timing was the worst part of that play. Get the pitcher the ball early so he can look down and find the base.
Rasmus has had terrible luck so far. He has been crushing the ball all year and can't catch a break.

It's disappointing that our bull pen chokes when our starters have some good/decent outings.
Sucks that the team has such a tough time scoring runs and their hitting %'s are horrible, minus kelly.

Nice to see Drabek continually to do well. He didn't implode when he gave the go ahead hr or when they were in jams. He held his emotions in check and kept pitching with poise-kind of reminded me of the young Halladay when he was starting out in the bigs. The crowd gave him a nice standing o and he saluted them in return. Nice outing.

Ya it really was an awesome outing. You could see he had good stuff right from the first inning. It really has to give him some confidence when he throws a quality game and gets a standing O from the home crowd.
We played really well in all areas today. Finally some of the hard hit balls started to find gaps. Hopefully this will get us on a roll.
