Seemed like they were getting the house organized just in time as it looks like they may need to bunker down next week.
Here's one way they could keep the zombies away...

I wonder what this means for Lori's baby. Will it be born a zombie?

Where are you going to get enough electricity for those treadmills?? Generators? Generators require fuel which is probably scarce and therefore should be used wisely and efficiently. LOL

Kinda like Mekhi Phifer's baby in the Dawn of the Dead remake?
I sure hope so. Much better then some annoying crying baby that puts everyone in danger all the time.

Large wartime style stretches of barbwire fence would do wonders. I'd love to see swarms of Zombies get caught up in roll after roll of barbwire fences. They'd make such a mess.
I don't know if I've mentioned it before but a long line of piano wire would do wonders against a zombie herd. Get another motorcycle and attach each end to a pole/staff/hitch of some sorts and just clothesline a herd. It would be fantastic!

Andrea bailed on the CDC suicide explosion because Dale said he wouldn't leave her, that if she was going to stay and die then he would too.
Another school of thought, brought up on The Talking Dead, was that the baby would/could be born with a natural immunity.

THe more I think of this I am not sure if the infection is spread via the air or everybody already has it. They made sure to show Randals cut wrists twice last night, once with an extended close up. It has to be a deliberate action but then Glenn and Daryl stated "no scratches or bites" after he was offed, the second time.
I dont know what to make of it yet, I am compelled though!

By the looks of things in the preview, the group really should have went out and secured a back hoe at some point. Could have dug a nice 8-10 foot x 8-10 foot trench all the way around the farm.
Zombie horde (or any stray zombies that come along, for that matter) would fall in, and they could kill them easily without wasting ammo, and without ever being in any danger.
Of course, that would make for a pretty boring show I guess.

Hmmm I think it would be born as an affected human. Or born normal then catch the virus right away if air born?
Basically no, if it dies then yes zombie time.

Not being a doctor, I would still think whatever zombie virus was already in Lori would be passed into the baby. Without having much of an immune system, I can't see the baby not being pre-zombied. Still bad news though for Lori, especially if a miscarriage. Alternatively, the baby could be born as some "Blade" having the best of both worlds, and maybe have some way of unifying the zombie and living communities.

Eventually the hordes would just fill up the pit and walk right over their buddies. No simple answers. I fear for the remaining people on the farm.

You can't really tell from the previews, but I'm very interested to see how many zombies are in this horde.
Are we talking like a dozen, a couple dozen? A hundred? Couple hundred?
Too bad the group doesn't have a huge cache of weapons and ammo.
I'd think that with 10-ish people on the farm in a firing line on the roof of the house, you could make quick work of the approaching horde (assuming there aren't hundreds of walkers).
Than again, the noise will probably attract more...
A Hummer or any other jacked-up 4x4 redneck truck might of been effective. Mount some type of spear or battering ram on the front and run them all over.

Ewok style living arrangements would be pretty anti-zombie effective too!

One of the previews showed an aerial shot, I'd say they are looking at close to 200 walkers.

Yeah, I know the reason given for using older cars is easier repairs; but I have to think a newer vehicle would be less likely to actually need repairs. That and a vehicle like a hummer that could withstand a collision with a zombie would seem ideal.
