Jesus Christ.
Great tip.

I post a lot but I don't think I've had too many embarrassing moments that I can remember at least. Unless someone can think of some?

Contrary to popular CP belief, my most embarassing stuff wasn't in the Riot Thread. I still believe in what I say.
My most embarassing moment was last season when the Flames scored that goal at home to Anaheim but it was waved off due to lack of evidence on the replay. The one where Getzlaf grabbed it with his hand. In the PGT, I was defending the NHL. My reasoning was stupid and when someone proved me wrong, I was stubborn and stuck to my guns even though I knew I was wrong. The debate went on for 10-15 posts and I was just being a little baby.

This thread could easily be "VANFLAMESFAN embarrassing moments."
The first being a username in all caps.

Or the way you see those video montages of TV shows where a character says the same thing in many episodes, like Gobs "C'mon!". We could do one for everytime VANFLAMESFAN is clealry pissed off or agitated by something, so he puts various versions of "It's just funny to me now" in his posts.
"It's just funny to me now"
"I'm just laughing at this point"
"I'm not even angry, it's just become funny at this point."
That's my absolute favorite VANFLAMESFANism.

And that comment was your least embarrassing moment in that thread.

My posts are all glorious and should be worshipped.
I fell into the trap as a noob though wondering WTF Fata meant. So, not being able to conclusively figure it out and aware enough to know better than to use it in potentially improper context I decided to ask.
I honestly thought FATA meant; 'From Another Thread Already.'
No, I'd never heard of Rico Fata and I was not around during the great Fata debacle of 2005.
Needless to say I was shamed into learning the great CP secret. I do however take some pride in helping to push the term fata as a euphemism for one of my favourite words.

I don't know if anyone remembers the 'Who has a Crush on Me' banner add from a few years back... My 'Who has a cruch on me?' thread was pretty sad.
http://forum.calgarypuck.com/showthread.php?t=61259
That was the day I finally went and learned how to edit a thread title (although cruch lived on).

She looks even better in person. When they had a LPGA event in Calgary a few years ago, Natalie was in Golftown signing autographs one evening. Lots of guys like me were in line waiting for a chance to get a picture with her

I think I was giving some people a hard time about naming players wrong. I was drinking of course and someone was saying Regehr's last name wrong, so I corrected him - so I thought. I kept drinking and posting and typing his name out wrong as well.
I learned at that moment that all people are all stupid, including myself.

I think the worst for me, was the first time I saw 'Loose Change' I ended up defending it in the thread that was created about it.

Worst I can think of was calling someone a dick when I was drunk. I went back to look at the post when I was sober and still pretty much thought the guy was being a dick, but it was out of line nonetheless.
