Ultimately it didn't matter what the cereal was when you were a kid. If it wasn't sugary enough you could just dump a ton of sugar or Nestle Quik on it until it was palatable enough to eat. At least that is what would happen if our parents would get Cheerios or those stupid Muffets shredded wheat.

You used to be able to...I remember when I was young, my mom would buy milk in bags that slid into a pitcher and then you would cut them open and pour the milk from the pitcher. I also remember a lot of spills...seems like a bad idea now...

My cereal was Lucky Charms. I always prayed to the cereal gods to make a Lucky Charms variation that was 100% marshmallow, but alas my prayers were never answered.

Oh great...I'm dead. I ate at that place once (In Mexico of all places) and it was the best damn burger I've eaten yet. If this place showed up in Calgary, I truly am doomed.

The size of the hole you cut, is key.
We had visitors from the UK stay with us last Fall and they would cut these massive gaping holes in the bag. Of course it will spill.
Milk jugs are huge and ridiculous. Cartons are ok, but inferior to the bag when the bag is 'operated' properly. If you can't operate a milk bag, you're likely someone who should be eating at restaurants and staying out of the kitchen all together (I'm kidding).
My main argument for milk bags, is that if you are a slob, like me, and you like to drink things straight out of the container, the milk bag saves you from getting a milk mustache.
Also, I drink a <removed> of milk and putting two 4L jugs or four 2L cartons in my fridge takes up a lot more real estate than the equivalent in bags.
