Both of those guys are brutal. I'll turn on 960 every few days for a little bit here and there, and it's like they're always saying the same thing - nothing. I've never heard two people use so many words to say so little. I really don't need to listen to a professional sports guy to hear stuff like "to win tonight, it's going to come down to the Flames' effort". O RLY?
And the constant qualifiers and ifs and buts every time they actually get sort of close to dishing out an opinion is just pathetic. They sound like bickering teenagers that are afraid to be wrong, so they just keep picking apart what the other guy said, except that the other guy didn't actually say anything. Never ever actually saying anything, but spending so much time talking.
I can't believe I missed a whole thread dedicated to their suckage. I'm so glad to know I'm not the only one that simply can't stand to listen to 960 anymore.

I thought I was the only one who noticed this. I used to look forward to turning on fan960 and there were times I'd get home and stay in my car for an extra 10 minutes because what they were saying was interesting and I didn't wanna miss it.

I really do like Warrener though, but Steinberg annoys me because he says absolutely nothing, but says that nothing over and over until I get fed up and turn off the radio.

Fan960 has went down the drain.

steinberg's podcast interview on the fan 960 website with Butler was actually pretty good. He kept going back at Butler about how terrible that game was and didn't let him weasel out of it. He did it in a good way, held him accountable without getting greasy about it, but was persistent.

I can now identify what it is about Butler I dislike so much. That's for another thread though.

Steinberg did a good job on that interview.

The problem is this board and the people who post here represent a small percentage of the overall listening public. Kirsh will go to Steinburg and Pat will tell him the type of over-analyzing zealots that post here and that will be that.

I don't hate Bryn and I still listen mostly because I love sports and no one in Calgary covers sports better than the Fan.

My question is up from what? The summer months? Of course they are up. The Fan basically drops dead post free agency so I would expect listener numbers to be up once hockey season roles around. I would like to see a comparison between 2009, 2010 listener numbers. That would give you a lot more information then stating they increased from that of the summer.
