Loubardias was on the fan the other week hosting and he was about 10 times better. More interesting, more professional, more insightful.

Really like Loubardias as an analyst. He'd be a much better Kerr replacement.

I like Pat Stienberg and his talk on the Flames and hockey but when Bryn becomes involved in the discussion I often turn the radio off. He tries to be argumentative with Pat but I don't find his ponts convincing. Bryn needs to go.

Really? ... Steinberg is like "Mr. Fill airtime" ... he rambles, and talks way more than he has to for the information he's providing. He's also pretty much following the "ask myself a question and then answer it" mold of Darren Dreger, except constantly.

Have to agree with nik above. Steinberg is as bad if not worse then Bryn. I've never heard a talk show host talk in circles like Steinberg. I can't stand his extended use of the word "annnnnnnnnd" to piece together ideas to fill air. Brutal. I would argue Steinberg has only gotten worse since Kerr left. The entire show sucks. I'd like to see them both gone.

I'm not a fan member, but I've listened since day one. I might join just to fill out the questionnaire.

Wow, CP sure does have a lot of hate for the local media outlets. Kerr sucks, PL sucked, the new Flames at 5 guy Bryn (is that even a name) sucks, heck even a Peter Maher sucks thread the other day.

What's the deal, just some sort of whinny superiority complex about Flames knowledge or some sort of rebelion against the machine that is main stream media cause this is a web site and all other media outlets suck?

Steinberg is getting better - the guy actually has opinions which reflect the fanbase around here (because, unlike a lot of the other guys 960 has hired, he actually is a Flames Fan).

Bryn on the other hand bleed Oiler blue.

It is evident in his opinions - they simply aren't 'real'.

No matter how bad some of you think Bryn is (I don't mind him for the most part) just thank your lucky stars it's not Jock Wilson from AM770. Jock is a joke in the hockey area. He's decent with the Stamps but my god, my ears bleed when he starts talking hockey.

Bryn is the weakest link, all others are pretty good. Bryn has no opinions, he just asks questions. At least Steinberg has opinions and can defend them, Bryn's points make no sense, the he adds on "don't you think?" to every sentence. I would argue that most CPer's have more hockey knowledge than Bryn.

Maybe that's why some people have begun to find Pat more overbearing then before...due to the fact that he's partnered up with a terrible co host who has nothing to add.

^ Aside from the "don't you think" line that I can't stand he uses "I don't know but" as soon as he gets questioned in the slightest. He's right - he doesn't know, but its just horrible to listen to. That and the forced giggle when there is nothing amusing at all. To me thats a clear indicator that he doesn't know about the topic and is not confident because of it.

I heard through the grapevine that he is just a fantastic guy though. Apparently you just won't meet too many guys as nice as him, which is great but it means nothing regarding professional performance.

I'd agree withis, there is a general disdain out here for members of the media.....I'd say the only one who generally gets some love (and rightly so) is Duha.

i found steinberg as a negative when he hosted the 20/20 sports update....sportsline saturday, he always liked to start off with some hip hop music. just like overtime right now.

i have mentioned it before, i will say it again. he goes around circle for the sake of filling air time (nik had got it for his view). there would be times because pat doesn't know where he is at, he would make mistakes - e.g. say wrong team names during out-of-town scoreboard...he has to use a lot of the word 'rather' to remedy his mistakes on air. because he speaks too fast, sometimes he is lost, and it turns me off. he always uses a lot of 'a couple of' / 'kind of' those filler phrases...god damn it, just be certain!

and, sometimes, you can find the topics that he chooses are fed off CP forums...
