I don't know. I can see both Rams and Vikings passing on Blackmon to look at the O-Line.

If RG3 declares for the draft, I think someone will move up to the 2 spot to take him. So depending on who that is. Minnesota might go for Kalil, but I think Blackmon will be gone by pick 4 for sure whether it's the Browns using their own pick, or maybe the Rams after Cleveland moves up. Could be an entertaining draft day as I think there could be a lot of trades moving teams around.

Rams I can see passing as they need to protect Bradford.

The Dolphins have finished interviewing Dave Toub for their vacant HC position.

There is only one offensive lineman worthy of a top 3 pick. There is no way you reach for a prospect in the Top 3. If the Rams pass on Khalil, they would be foolish not to take Blackmon. If the Rams take Khalil, it would be foolish for the Vikings not to draft Blackmon or trade out of the pick to someone who wants Blackmon or RG3.

How bout some awards:

MVP - Aaron Rodgers. Don't bring that Brees broke the record and should be MVP. Rodgers finished with 122.5 passer rating, 45 TD's to 6 INTs.

HC - Jim Harbough. Too much talk about how he sabatoged his team in free agency to get into the Luck sweepstakes, then, well they play in the NFC West so it's easy to win, but 5-1 in the division and 8-2 out of the division is too telling to pass him up for this.

Defensive ROY - Aldon Smith. Real close for Von Miller, just getting hurt and not playing as well down the stretch will hurt his chances. I know Aldon Smith is only a 3rd down back but he produced extremely well in that role. Probably could keep him from winning it though.

Offesive ROY - Cam Newton. Breaking the record for passing by a rookie and leading the crappy Panthers to 6 wins with the pressure of being the number 1 overall pick is huge in my opinion.

Breakout player of the year - Rob Gronkowski. Freak! Jimmy Graham close 2nd as an equal freak.

Defensive Player of the year - Jared Allen. Minny is so crappy it might go to Jason Pierre Paul for making a bigger difference on a winning team.

Offensive Player of the year - Drew Brees. I think he wins this, but not MVP. Gotta get something for breaking a 20 year old passing record...

Comeback Player of the year - Reggie Bush. From 3rd down back to 1000+ yard rusher. Miami was a good fit. McGahee my second choice, from washed up back up, to exceling in Denver.

I can see Martin from Stanford rising up the boards, there is usually a few players who do.

Of course there's risers. Too many people get sucked in by the work out freaks at the combine.

What a gong show the NY Jets are, Greg McElroy a 7th round pick and 3rd string QB did a interview where he unloaded on the Jets.

Quote:
“It’s definitely not a fun place to be, I can assure you,” McElroy said of the Jets’ locker room. “It’s the first time I’ve ever been around extremely selfish individuals. And I think that’s maybe the nature of the NFL. But there were people within our locker room that didn’t care whether we won or lost as long as they got theirs, they had a good game individually. And that’s the disappointing thing.”

It appears Jacksonville is headed in the direction of hiring an offensive mind coach as they have/or are going to interview/interviewed the following for the HC job, Brian Schottenheimer, Mike Mularkey, and Rob Chudzinski. Jay Gruden is there too but that ain't happening till Cincinnati is outta of the playoffs, which could happen as early as Saturday night.

Not a bad idea to go offensive. I would go with Jay Gruden as it has done a great job with Dalton this year.

I think Stafford has a chance at one of these. Throwing 5k yards and 41 TD's would be MVP numbers in some years. Yeah his INT were a bit high but the majority of them came when he was throwing the ball with 3 fingers because his index figure was broken.

Yeah, I was thinking that Stafford should be the break out player moreso than Rob Gronkowski. I'd say comeback player too since he only played three games the year before too...but even his rookie season saw him injured a fair bit...so it's like he never really got a great chance to establish himself. Either way 41 TD's to 16 INT's is still a great ratio, and 5000 yards thru the air...most years that gets you in the MVP Conversation. Especially when you consider the Lions records in other years prior to this one.

Gronkowski did have 10 TD's last year and came on in the second half. I think Jimmy Graham was more of a break out guy. Victor Cruz also has to be considered too...really unless you were a Giants fan or Jets fan who watched him torch them in that pre season game...I doubt you knew who he was, let alone expected him to put up the numbers he did.

I think Schottenheimer is more loathed by Jets fans than Santonio Holmes is. I'm surprised he's being considered. I feel bad for him...his old man was a very successful head coach, but the media treats him like he's the worst coach in NFL history because his kickers always choked in the playoffs...and like so many others...he had trouble with John Elway. As a result Brian probably gets labelled as being too conservative due to lineage.

Jacksonville does need to get someone who can work with Gabbert, and eventually evaluate if he can be the guy or not. So I can see why this group of people is being rumored.

Well early on my guess is that the Redskins would have interest in RG3. Do they try and get up to 2 to guarantee they get him...or would they be happy to go to 3? I think they'd move up to the 2 slot...than your Vikings take either Blackmon or Kalil.

Not a fan of Holmes or the Jets, but it is funny that nobody was calling him selfish when he won the Super Bowl and was MVP pretty much winning them that game.
