Damn, Portland outshot Seattle 29-7 in the 1st period., 60-27 in the end. Or is that not a big deal for the dub? I don't follow it that closely.

It is...it was more of a case though that Portland runs hot and cold and Seattle kind of sucks though.

unreal that the kid sits 5th in the entire WHL in points, while playing ~7-10 games less than anyone above him or in the top 10!

It's even crazier when you consider the players they lost to the NHL in Johansen and Niederreiter.
It's almost like those guys were holding Sven and Rattie back last year.

Just saw a tweet that Irving has been recalled to the Flames this morning.
An injury in the Flames? Or a deal pending?

Ferland signs with the Flames today, 3 year entry level contract with an average annual value of $825,000.
One more step forward in the right direction for the Flames organization.

Nice.
So as of now six Flames prospects have been invited to their respective countries World Junior Team camps.
Max Reinhart - Canada
Michael Ferland - Canada
Sven Baertschi - Switzerland
Markus Granlund - Finland
Bill Arnold - USA
John Gadreau - USA
Hope they all make it, but IMO, right now only Baertschi and Granlund are shoe ins.

Yes. Well, a shoo-in at any rate. He's been doing really well lately. And even if he hadn't, he'd probably still be there. It's not like Canada, there aren't 2000 great prospects to choose from.

Why wouldn't he be? He's putting up numbers in the top Finnish men's league at age 18. That is pretty impressive.
