Ching is a goal-scoring machine for me in FIFA 12. My Whitecaps are doing tremendous with him, Jarju and Hassli up front!
If only things worked out like they did on video games . . .

Due to the Ryan Pore loan this season, Portland had a handshake agreement with Montreal that they wouldn't select any of their players in the expansion draft. I'm glad they held to their word as Portland left a few players unprotected that would have been a shame to see go.

Smart play by Montreal. If Houston really wanted Ching, they would've kept him protected in the expansion draft. Now if they want him back, they'll have to pony up. Montreal should go after Hainault as a return for Ching. Local product, strong RB.
I see Ching retiring if Houston doesn't acquire him back.

Sounds like Beckham will either stay another year in LA or move to Paris SG.
Either way he has done a lot to raise the league's profile around the world. I saw kids in the UK and all over Asia with LA Galaxy jerseys. Saw a couple little kids in Thailand today wearing them.

Also saw Seattle's new 2012 kit. This thing is horrific.

Good lord that's horrific. I saw the Sounders play this past summer and their away jerseys were WAY better than that atrocity. Looks like one half of a pack of Nerds.

See those are waaaaay better. Not sure why anyone was allowed to come up with that 1980's neon puke stain.

These are their 2011 kits:
I didn't mind them without the silver "bra strap" as they're called, but they ruin the look, IMO.
Of course, I'm a bit partial to these:

Ok, so, TFC and Montreal are going to have the same sponsor? Huh?!? In the same league?
Colour me confused and pissed off if that's the case.
Minor issue, it's true, but WTF?
*I hate the banks

Since it's the Bank of Montreal, I recommend Toronto change their sponsor.
TD Bank seems like a good choice.

BMO is a huge supporter of soccer across Canada in youth and professional leagues. I have no problem with them sponsoring both teams. And lets no forget that:
A-the stadium in Toronto is called BMO field, has been since 2006
B-BMO head office is in Toronto
C-BMO has been on TFCs kits since 2008
D-better leagues than MLS has companies sponsoring more than 1 team

Not sure i would be using the Scottish league as an example as being better than the MLS. 1 team in European competition this year and only got in on a technicality.

I've got no problem with BMO throwing some more coin at soccer in the country. There's no downside in my mind. I don't mind that Scotiabank has their name plastered on two pro hockey rinks either.

Portland goes back to the late 70's - early 80's with their new 3rd kit:

Of course, this was a big deal to the locals:
Quote:
“We created this special uniform to celebrate the City of Portland’s great soccer heritage. We’re proud to deliver the team and fans a unique piece of Timbers history with this jersey and scarf made from 100 percent recycled materials and designed and developed right here in the Rose City.”

Portland has the best kits in MLS IMO. I may have to pick up their 3rd jersey.
