And again at 1:15- even reached in with his BARE HAND to place a log!!

He's starting out strong this year. He must have been training in the offseason.

1:22 PM- this one was a two-handed poke-and-shift.

I'm starting to worry I may not be able to change the channel. THIS IS RIVETING TELEVISION, PEOPLE.

Hopefully FPAG reads this thread and starts to tweet! Although I think he probably just likes to tease us with his arm. Those torso views would put me over the edge and I haven't even seen the arm.

Jeez I can't believe I'm following a bunch of logs.

I've actually met and spoken to KevanGuy too. Dammit. Shoudda took a photo to prove it.
It would have been blurry. While the photo itself may have been clear, rumour has it that KevanGuy lives life just a little out of focus.

Telus has a girl FPAG? Does she wear the plaid one sleeve like the Shaw guy?

Fell asleep last night watching FPAG, sooo relaxing. Man I love this time of year!

Yeah, just had my first sighting of the season. Really went at a couple logs on the left side of the fire for a good 30 seconds until he got them just right. Mixed opinions... his commitment to getting them perfect was good, but at the same time, it's more impressive when he gets everything to fall perfectly with a single twist of his poker.

I wonder if he's plowing a fat chick on a artificial bear skin run in between stokings.

9:08 Dark blue NO PLAID arm moved a log clumsily with the poker but got a sparks out of the fire, then he successfully added another log.

Great fire now - 8/10 (before 4.5/10)

Last Christmas I was at a firends house and his GF of the time worked for shaw. She said that they told the studio camera guy he has to film his fire. It sounded like he was displeased with the task, yet he didn't let it show in his work.

Lots of fire guys out there but I think if you can see an arm and it has a watch, it's authentic.

I only wish I could have been tuned in for the actual lighting of the logs. Can you imagine the heady excitement and the thrill of watching FPAG actually lay the logs in the grate? How fine it would be to witness the spark and the first tongues of flame heralding the beginning of the Holiday Fireplace Season!

I imagine this is one of those things only a few people have ever seen - like snow leopards mating.

Whoa whoa whoa! Easy there! Some things are meant to remain a mystery. I don't even think Obama could get into that show.

Does anyone know how this ends? Does the fireplace burn out by itself? Does FPG throw some water on it?
