I'm hoping that the term "help them getting organzied" means show them how to fold up their tents, clean up the squatters village and the park and go home.

Why are we rewarding them, the city should send in bylaw officers tonight to confiscate empty tents and continue to ticket the rest of them, and as it gets colder rinse and repeat til their gone.
I've asked Nenshi on Twitter to confirm if it's true. Will wait and see.

It was claimed it was said though, so whether it's true or not doesn't matter. A response like that in any context is just dumb.
Actually, I would argue taking the word of these somewhat deranged individuals to accuse another indivudual of a lack of class would be somewhat 'dumb'.

Might be a middle-of-the-road solution to the whole Charter thing, but will set a dangerous precedent if true.

Apparently you've just gotta put the fear of the charter into the hearts of our city officials to get what you want. Obviously this doesn't translate into Cory's "I'm gonna break all the bylaws" stunt, but maybe it could work if you need funding or city resources for some other group thing?

Basically the equivalent of "I'm gonna hold my breath until the city provides my hockey team with better ice time or my face turns blue!"

So someone calling someone else a 'f****t' is okay? And are you sure it didn't happen?

It's never okay, no matter what situation.

But mostly, this group has already been revealed as a motley collection of deluded fools, and the guy who ran to the media pretending that his boss wrote him an email explaining how he was illegally firing said guy for protesting shows me that honesty is not a character trait of the Olympic Plaza crowd.

So you're making a widespread assumption about the protestots themselves then? And you can't actually prove it was fabricated? I see.

The onus is not on me to prove that SeeGeeWhy's statement was false. Plus, if you're calling me out on the truth about this comment, we should be calling out for the absolute truth on everything that was ever debated on this message board, ever. And that's a dangerous road to go down. I also think you're just arguing with me for the sake of arguing now, because you extremely dislike me.

Calling someone that 'f' word is never appropriate. It's slanderous. I'd give the same response to anyone who said that, not just the counter-protestor. Whether it's true, false, doesn't matter... that's something serious and that you don't say or joke about.

Earlier I posted a brief summary of 3 negative encounters Cory had yesterday.

Tonight he has blogged about the one friendly encounter he had, albeit a very sad one.

Well, guess we'll have to agree to disagree then.

I guess if you are going to ignore common sense then we will because it is pretty clear that there is little to no chance that he said that.

I miss the days when that phrase could just end a debate civilly. Just let it go, not worth arguing further.

"You are a child rapist"

"No I'm not"

"Well, we'll just have to agree to disagree"

Is anyone actually arguing that calling someone a f***** is OK? Not that I can read...rather people are simply stating that there is no proof that it happened. Basically a poster was told by someone down there that it happened - so it is 2nd hand knowledge with no other proof. If someone can actually prove that it was stated then CM deserves to be criticized for it - until then it is irrelevant to the main topic of this thread.
