Completely juvenile thought, but whilst drinking I could not help but laugh at how funny it would be to barrel through a tent in the middle of the night on foot. Full sprint, head down and tumble.

#occupycalgary: remember about the day after the carnival comes to town. Persepctive on humanity can't go back to normal after eviction
Protesters say that city officials don't care about the people. "Oh, here's your eviction notice and have a nice day – that's what they said to us. They don't care about the people, they just want more money in their pocket," said James Bulloch.
Heh, if 4x4 actually read the thread, we don't have a problem with him expressing his opinion, it's more the political motivations behind it. He can express anything he wants.
You just spent the last three pages trying to beat a confession out of FL!?! What are you having a hard time comprehending here? Morgan is pissed that people are getting away with breaking laws, and he's on a one man mission to make a big deal out of it. You're beating this "is he doing it for political advantage" drum like is some kind of ulterior motive. WTF? Seriously, WTF? Yeah, the guy is in politics. Political people tend to do public stuff like this.
What the hell is so hard for you to understand about this? What are you trying to get FL to say? That her husband has political aspirations? She said that.
Jesus f'n christ you two are so....ugh.

Making James statement worse is the eviction notices weren't fines at all, they were just that, eviction notices. I believe James is the same kid who got the $500 smoking ticket, so he's got an axe to grind regarding fines levied, but in no way is the city looking to profit off the eviction of these squatters.

Wow, calm yourself.
I have absolutely no problem with someone counter-protesting. I had a problem with someone reporting his actions to us on this board like it's a matter of gospel (because it isn't), and I believed there were underlying motives, so I called that person out on it. Turns out I was right.
That's the end of that.
In fact, it was way less than what you're making it out to be. You've got an unhealthy amount of rage built up in you. Just move on, son.

Oh Really, they didn't actually get any fines yesterday?? What in the world were they so upset about? I'm totally trying the "I do not consent" route for my next speeding ticket!
I was reading in the paper yesterday that the occupy calgary crowd was demanding that the city provide them with heaters or they'll go out and run space heaters off of car batteries in their tents. Its kind of silly to me when your asking the target of your protests for supplies to keep your protest going.
And the occupy movement in Calgary is talking about occupying the atrium at city hall between the hours of 6 to 8 pm.
I was watching the news last night as they covered the Occupy Toronto thing and they had a impromptu protest walk where they decided that it was ok to block traffic.
I didn't see a whole lot of signs that would relate to the original concepts of the Occupy movement, what I did see were signs bitching about legalizing drugs, a sign talking about stopping police brutality and a few other non related things.
They also interviewed a bunch of young men in black with their faces covered who vowed ominously that they were going to stop the police from evicting them. To me if your proud of what your doing, then stand among the counted and show your faces.
I watched some hag last night on CTV newsnet who was comparing the evictions to the police brutality at the G20 summit, while the incredibly hot Marcia McMillion (sp?) was rolling her eyes and face palming herself in an incredibly sexy way about 20 times during the interview)
I watched an interview with a New York citizen who was glad to see the tents there going away because he stated that it stunk of urine and crap and burning garbage.
Honestly, I don't care if the occupy movement declares victory or not, here and even in the states its moved way past its best before date. Its time for you occupyers to move on to something else.
