Measure of a Man is a great episode and that was season two! But Shades of Grey nullifies any good in season two.

No when I was to fall asleep I watch Star Trek: The Motion Picture. I have more than enough self respect to not watch Enterprise. Sorry Dr. Beckett.

Hopefully someone comes up with a Wesley-less Blu-Ray cut of TNG. That I would pay for.

Having said that, Wil Wheaton is hilarious on Big Bang Theory. It's just unfortunate that he played one of the 5 most annoying characters in sci-fi history on TNG. (PS He's the only Trek guy on that list, the rest are all Star Wars...as are the next 50 after that)

Agreed, but Yesterday's Enterprise was the episode where TNG stepped into legendary status. Especially with episodes like Sins of the Father, which set up pretty much the only decent recurring storyline in the entire series, and The Best of Both Worlds, which should have been a movie, following closely behind it.

Season Three-Season Five was some of the best TNG.

BTW, fun Wesley Crusher fact: In Olympic Plaza, there is a brick that says "Wil Wheaton, Star Trek, 1987". I can't imagine Wil had any fans back then, so he must have bought the brick and engraving himself.

They had carpet in the Enterprise, the ship never took real damage, and the universe always worked out right.

Give me DS9 anyday where the characters were flawed, they usually made bad decisions for the right reason. they took damage in battle and killed people in horrible ways.

And the universe was not a happy and safe place where things went wrong but could be fixed with diplomacy.

the cool stuff only happened when the show matured. the first couple of seasons were pretty dull and it was basically TNG 2.0 for the first bit. basically when Sisko grew his beard, then the show got good

plus i hated pretty much anything to do with the Bajorans. at least they tried with the Cardasians, shapeshifters, and every other race. but sticking a few ridges on their noses and calling them aliens always bugged me

...All Good Things is one of the best episodes of television ever. Probably the best series finale i've ever seen (although to be fair there were additional films)

I'd go from three to the end, myself. Gambit is one of the best episodes of any Star Trek series, save for the anticlimactic ending. And even then, that ending set up the perfect plot device to explain why every alien everywhere is humanoid. The Pegasus and Lower Decks were also amazing season seven episodes - both of which broke the "Happy, friendly Federation where everything turns out right in the end" mold. And season six's Timescape I love just for this scene:

It wasn't only ridges, they all had matching earrings as well.

Oh Six and Seven had some great episodes as well. I loved Chain of Command, I agree that Gambit is underrated. However Season Seven had Sub Rosa. *shudders*

I'll disagree. While the first season of DS9 was mired in TNG plots and guest stars, "Hey Look it's Vash and Q", "OMG The Duras Sisters". Season one also had Duet, which was the first episode to set the path for what DS9 became. But hey, it was a Kira episode so if you hate the Bajorans I'm sure you've forgotten about it.

Oh and if you hate the nose ridges don't watch TOS. Most of the aliens of the week looks like humans
